As per current situation 50 day MA is highly likely to cross 200 day MA and move up even if ASI down by 50 points daily. Crossing 200 day MA by 50 day MA is considered as a bullish indication (lagging) and this happened at the start of the post war uptrend as well. Your comments are welcome Smile

My openion is we're still in an overbought market after the days of straight bull which witnessed ppl selling near ASI 5900-5950.

So some cooling off is necessary too..

Now adays ASI is manipulated either side in a fishy way, so its so early to say Wink

Most likely this will happen in first week of October even without major ups. This can be delayed if there are several major down days. But most likely we can see this in month of October anyway cheers

Interesing situation . Though ASI over bought still due toweirdplay, many shares have come down from over bought.

Other than points highlighted above I guess some are waiting for performance for this quarter. Declaration of interim dividends with high performance could be expected at the end of October or mid of November which may push up those shares.

Exactly.. ASI is overbought but some individual stocks are shining.. Since not sure what way the ASI will be taken the next day, I buy in 50-100 chunks Wink

Red days yet to come if we dont pass at lesat 6300 soon..

Month end credit clearance by brokers is in progress. Possibly this will go on tomorrow or even till Thursday. Index will move by at least 10 points per day. I hope index won't dip so much into red region. If huge credit clearance was evident tomorrow or day after, chances that index pass 6000 by Friday is minimal unless we witness aggressive buying with good turnover. Anyway their will be plenty of opportunities to grab the selective counters in the coming days, if someone concentrate on individual share prices rather than the index. If the market sentiment remained positive we will easily pass 6000 mark, at the beginning of the new month, perhaps 6300 mark as well.
