9 moths EPS ended at 31.12.2012 is 1.84.

By 2012.12.31,
Unrealized gain from dealing securities is 42.4 Mn (Market Value 11,789.5 Mn, Cost 11,747.1 Mn).
Unrealized gain of 19.9% stake in Orient Finance PLC is 302.7 Mn (Market Value 393.1 Mn, Cost 90.4 Mn).
Unrealized gain of investments in Treasure Bonds is 161.2 Mn (Market Value 1,198.6 Mn, Cost 1,037.4 Mn).

It is interesting to see how the market value of their investments is changed with fluctuations of interest rates in the market and at the end the capital gain that CFVF going to realize.

Unrealized gains mentioned in the notes to the accounts.
In their business, Cashflow can be derived anytime (in between quarters) by just realizing some of the gains if possible (if in the money or profit) by selling some of the dealing securities or investments in treasury bonds.

As your wording shows some negativity on CFVF ( "atleast better") , can you explain the issues you see with CFVF at this level?

Doesn't matter whether CFVF would declare a dividend or not, It is really valuable at this price

I don't think so. It's a shadow of its former self

Only at the moment. Whether it can repeat what it did before remains in how the management plays the cards in the future.

Dinesh is a fickle character. This is the reason why these sorts of firms should be held privately. You never know when the market will get tough.

An upward trend in equity market and a downward trend in interest rates are ideal business environment for CFVF. When looking at figures they are still in the accumulating phase of equities and bonds rather than in harvesting their previous investments.

Other than, outright purchase/sale of Treasury Bills and Treasury Bonds, CFVF is actively involving in Margin Trading and Debit Exchange trading in addition to regular co-operate finance and assets management services that they provide.
