You may be need to wait untill the next weekend, earlier it got delayed due to postal issue, now holidays, NDB Dividend cheque i received yesterday

Received....but the 10% WHT is sad Sad

.... i thought they would explicitly state that when making the announcement, like NDB did (as i can remember - where they said that the dividends are liable for 10% WHT).... sadly, the dividend per share is Rs.1.35.... not enough :/

Dear friends, this is not only for LGL, but if you look at the dividend where it was subject to W.H.T in full, then the company is GENERALLY paying the dividend out of the operational profits and not from the investment income derived from dividend, so in one hand its a good indication about the companies performance unless they paid out of capital gains

as i remember whatever dividend you get from tax free companies,it's not taxable and WHT is not deducting..........Ex-VLL,VPEL.
and also capital gains which companies incur and distributed as dividends....
