hmmmm.....UN is really coming hard on the SL Goverment....but I dont think this will have any impact as MR is becoming stronger & stronger, and I think he is smart enough to keep away the UN from interfering in internal issues of SL.

keep in mind that upto now (the 16th) no action has been taken.....banki appointed a panel to advise him and this panel has given the report. This panel has recommended interference in our internal affairs so we need to see what banki says next week.
the last time the self appointed saviors of human rights(tm) tried to interfere through the UN our russian and chinese "friends" blocked the move. If our "friends" continue to back us in the security council then we should be ok. the problem is that this report can now be used to pressure the government to make "concessions". How the government negotiates this landmine will be the key.
Luckily we haven't struck oil yet otherwise the self appointed saviors of human rights(tm) would have invaded us already.

This org. is like a toothless lion. Never solved any dispute or conflict.

It is just a figure head. Only used as a consultant by the member nations.
The Top rungers enjoy all the perks and bust all the money.
May be 30-40% of the funds end up where they really need it. Embarassed

The UN will need to make some appropriate noises to placate certain segments of the world community. But there will not be any controversial action at this stage. Too much time has passed since those alleged war crimes... And the President has got a massive mandate from the people thereafter.

In fact, Sri Lanka is somewhat insulated from adverse world events (with the possible exception of increase in oil prices). Therefore, even for a foreign investor seeking to hedge his risks, Sri Lanka offers an attractive opportunity.

So called professor predicted major earth quakes in Indonesia, didn’t take place. Actually he should have kept quiet. No adverse effect from nuclear disasters, no effect from super moon also. And no effect from any moons.

Sri Lanka is not oil rich, it is not profitable. There is democracy , too many elections, nothing to worry . there is a big wedding also. every month there is a full moon. Nothing to worry about. CSE is green.

Sri Lanka is a friendly nation. Foreign policy wise do not antagonize any nation. IMF continues help with funds. This is a nation continue to improve business relationships western nations. IMF is satisfied with the progress made in economic front.
