Positive news are coming from every corner. Bank interest rates are going to fall further in comming weeks/ months. A very good sign of recovery of the economy. Even we talk about electricity tariff hikes good for the country at the end of the day.foreign buying are going to continue in future as well to the equity mkt as well as direct investments. tourism doing well, apparel doing well (apparel exports are up) , plantaions doing well, imports are down. good signs for the mkt to continue its positive trend in the future as well.

world commodity mkts are down and people are withdrawing funds from that mkts and putting in to stocks. this will continue for this year as well.economies of some big countries are comming down and they are selling gold reserves to cover up their trade gaps.

better to select future winning stocks and wait for the goal rather than going for trading.

Eg :Always my pick was VONE in the past and i'm really happy to see the new addings to the VONE portfolio through RCL.

VONE now have RCL - 51% (which includes CERA = TILE +HOPL+LWL + another 05 companies), LFIN - 64%, SAMP - 15%, Delmege - 61.2 % plus another 2 companies under their belt. This company is heading for a super future.

By now ACUITY should know the real value created to VONE from this acquisition, for the reason HNB was the main banker who financed the entire process for which DP & NP have commended for their prompt action.

"" Nimal Perera told the Daily FT that after Hayleys Plc, this was the most important acquisition under the D&N combination. The duo to date has made nearly 20 acquisitions or strategic investments.

Nimal, who is the Managing Director of RCL and Chairman of Pan Asia Bank, also said that the deal was finalised within a week largely on the goodwill of and the strong ties with Anthony Page, whose was appointed to Pan Asia Bank in April 2008 even when he was serving on the Board of Lanka Ceramics.

The entire acquisition is financed by HNB, whose Acting CEO Jonathan Alles was commended by Nimal for agreeing to the deal via a call over the weekend."

Interestingly they have selected HNB for this process instead of SAMP & PABC where the duo holds directorships in those banks.

Better to check with ACUITY............

If PABC fund to this transaction it would consider as related party transactions. and further to that PABC doen't have cash. they are struggling compared to other financial institutions ...
