Daily , weekly, monthly, annually we can see a net foreign out flow from Sri lanka's premier bank COMB for the past one year or so.

Why is that? Any negative reason their?

Agreed. This is a high foreign interested counter. time to time we can see profit takings happens. May be they thought it times to take some profit due to new rates, anyway there's nothing to fear about it. Smile

COMB & NDB movement is slowing down due to profit earning from both local & foreigners. This trend can be expected in coming few days too. With the steady upward market trend these two counters should move up. Anyone got COMB valuation with the latest results? NDB is around Rs.200 level. But this factor has been overlooked many counters concerned in the past few weeks.

May be stratergic investment policy of foreign funds.
Like COMB,JKH,HNB counters off loading is not that much easy in short term.
If they smell something about devaluation of rupees then we can see more to follow. (Just my thought)

Redbulls,
Theoretically your argument is correct.
But, look at this way.

In overall, we have seen largest foreign inflows during the last year & it continues
We have seen massive investments in treasuries (local currency)
So, it is difficult to believe that foreigners fear of devaluation though I myself highly suspects the sustainability of soft peg

If we know the root of the most foreign investment after 2010, some times you know why CB played games.
I do not want to go further, then this topic may be dragged some where like in the past.

Last Friday my adviser (CT) told me that fresh money are on the way for COMB. It's like some foreigners want to book profit and others willing to enter.
