Which is good stay with CSE or go with FD?

The above prompted me to think why my efforts to convince my younger friends to invest in stocks do not bare fruits much.
The reasons they all say that “ I do not know anything about Stock Market ”.
Yes it was not for faint hearted to venture in to that sphere where Up arrows and Down arrows, Greens and Reds and many mind boggling charts.
This far too technical looking scenario is one of the main reasons that the idea of investing stock market in not gaining much traction in the minds of the investing public, especially the younger ones.
My efforts to convince my audience that investing in stocks (right ones) is proven to be the most fruitful way of gaining in the long term too are falling in to deaf ears, again due to fear of looking at table and charts with an open mind.
FDs offer mediocre returns and most importantly a safety net below, in case if the worse happens, compared to invest in stocks.
How to get rid of this phobia for charts and graphs and introduce as many as possible in to the Stock Market is my dilemma.
Anyone wish to comment please !

SL govt should introduce a subject at school level to help the younger generation to understand the concept/theory behind SL stock market, FDs, etc.Examples on tech/fundamental analysis should be based on listed companies' reports. This may pave a better future for the country.Instead of having subjects to learn, sit the exam and then forget.Just my view.I could be wrong.
