Capital Alliance has restricted online sell orders of some stocks.

I experienced following restrictions when I tried online trading.

1.Not allowed to place sell orders (It was only 10%- 20% increase of LTP)

2.Not allowed to place buy orders – Having had a margin facility.

3.Not allowed to place buy orders – Having had a sales proceeds in the account but funds are not realized since due date is 3+1.

Any thoughts

Call the broker and ask him/her to sell after all you are paying nearly 1% broker commission.

How come broker impose restriction specially on sell orders,

Isn’t this violation of rules and preventing investors participating in free market activities.

Instead of checking on a forum, call and check with the brokers. Forum doesn't know what/how you are placing the sell order.

In cases like this generally you would have made a data entry error or not entered a password when placing the sell order so check with the broker first and then post on the forum.

I had the same experience, following is the error I got

""Order Qty is Greater than Max Buy Order Qty"

I contacted the online support and below is the response I got.

"Some stock are blocked from the client side (Buy orders) for the safe of client you can put these orders through your investment advisor. For further details contact your investment advisor."

but I did not chase it up.. Wink

U ar correct and appreciate. Since we kept that post for couple of hours Even i got a call from CAL Friend and asked about it. best option is, all the comments with names should be evaluated immediatly. I know you all do it for 99% comments made by users.

According to CAL...CSF is a good share Smile

trading on good fundamentals.... Smile

There is no restriction to BUY CSF.N on credit know...

All broker huts have their own agendas to make money it seems...
