I cannot understand why the shares is able to trade at prices lower than the rights price. Can someone highlight or take a guess at what may be fundamentally wrong with this stock because I'm biased and I think this stock is fundamentally sound and should be trading over 80rs at least.

I don't think there is anything wrong with bank's performance in the recent past. Infact the bank has shown clear growth in the recently published report.

This was doing well before the rights announcement. But with the announcement of rights, the price started falling and continues.

I don't see any point in selling this below right isuue price i.e. 75 or 35 (V and NV respectively) as the price is unlikely to fall below these price levels due to listing of new shares after the rights issue.

I only say that because I monitor this stock often. Also, it is the non-voting stock which is widely publicly traded with the bulk of the voting stock resting in the hands of interested parties and big players. On that note, it is the voting stock that continues to trade under 75 with the more retail traded non-voting share slowly following due to negative sentiment i suppose.

I continue to be bullish on this stock with no money in it to back up my claim Very Happy

public floating of X is sm where around 99%. So its understandable that X has more impact than N due to right issue. Other than that i have no idea. More than 20% of my portfolio is SEYB and i m sitting on a huge loss due to that.

That's why I feel that
a) Voting is easier to manipulate or control
b) Voting will give higher gains SHOULD a run break out compared to non-voting. Non-voting peaked at 60bucks previously while voting touched 120rs.
