This is the quarterly report time so buy shares that may have done very well in March quarter

TJL, LIOC, TKYO, HHL

Stay away from companies that may have had bad quarters as share price will come down. Buy into fundamentally strong shares but always buy if share is below sector P/E. Dont buy on tips but on fundamentals.

Everyone wants these shares because they are good. If everyone wants, its a BUY. Demand leads to increase in price

Those entering the Market Now, should be wary on those shares which have already made significant gains.
Simply because there will be some corrections coming soon or perhaps the appreciation of price would be very LOW.
This is my personal opinion.
Do some home work and Invest in shares that have not appreciated in the recent past.
Think of Plantation sector, some are yet to RUN and some are still attractive.

Once market form intermediate up trend one by one all types of stocks small, mid and large could have uptrend.  In a bull market we should not forget any sector. Market players according their experience and knowledge they will pick value stocks, growth stocks and momentum stocks. Some out of favour stocks could give bigger returns when they see their turnarounds and when their business climate becomes favourable.
It is time to study how some industries are going to benefit from now onwards, from next year onwards and from second half of this year onwards etc.. Any industry could become bullish suddenly. We need to find answers to following?

What are the mega trends?
What are the emerging commodities?
What type of business climate that will have for industries that we are going to follow?
Do they have demand for their products and services during next 10 years to 20 years? If they have foreign market too then it is so much better.
What types of assets they have in addition to core business?
Do they have marketing strategy and cost cutting strategy?
What are the main economic sectors in Sri-Lanka?  Companies in these sectors will have mid and long growth.

Today out of favour and neglected commodities, stocks or any other assets could become tomorrow’s winners. All the best.

It is interesting to see piling up boxes one top of another in stocks. How about your new picks? In a portfolio how many stocks we should include? Only today I realized there are 50 stocks in the above list. So is it wise to narrow down to around 20 shares of different companies? Any Suggestions? Cheers.

Value stocks, growth stocks which are having good prospects. Quality Stocks before the breakout. Fallen angels due to short term factors, quality stocks which are having pause and had pullback ready for next rally, stocks which are going to benefit due to favourable industry prospects.

Fundamentals of kegalla is better than most of plantation companies given by FLOWER2

But Kegalla is coming down because of Rubber prices. But 45% of kagalla is tea and other plantations and com forest

Some people try to collect KAGL using Rubber Price phobia

VALUEPICK

KGAL has one of the best balance sheets.

KGAL: What are the plus points?

Strong balance sheet with strong cash position.

Net asset per share 139.08

One of the best positive working capitals

One of the fundamental weaknesses is lower rubber prices.

Other one to watch is: NAMU

Even some warrants are trading at higher prices. Therefore my gut feeling is both NAMU and KGAL will pass Rs.100/. In a strong bull market it can go to around Rs.140/ at least. First we need to identify their base building pattern and gradual accumulations pattern to become bullish.  Who knows KGAL might have some life next week onwards. Lot of value stocks are laggards in the current uptrend. One by one they are slowly coming out of their base and building their up trend now.  Bigger returns for undervalued stocks are yet to come. Good luck!
