I'm also waiting.A penny which didn't move so far.Technically o.k.IPO was 14 and liquidity is low.trading half the IPO price.

I just noted that Financial statement for 30.June.2014 yet to be released. will MEL go up with it.?

My reasons for MEL to break 8.
Trading half the IPO price.
Highly illiqd.
Few have this share averaged below 7(less selling)
.10 dividend annouced.

Profit- negative

I don't see any reason for MEL to go up more than 10% unless a manipulation.

I find PAP, VPEL and HPFL more attractive in energy sector.

0.10 dividend not attractive if you solely going to buy because of dividend.

There are more attractive penny shares with high divided yield up for grab in current market.

RAL and KHC are few of them.. Smile

I think today they have announced a divident of 0.10/share.
There are lots of good and bad things regarding power and energy stocks.
we are having monsoon rains . Its a positive factor for hydro power.
i noticed some collection already on VPEL and HPWR. specially VPEL price creeping up slowly.

According to the financials 2013/14,
Profit is less. (18Mn)
EPS is 0.54
P/E ratio is around 13
NAV is 7.41

At the moment this stock has a fair price of Rs 7/=
Still this stock in a downward trend.
from Oct 2013 up to now.
Price has fallen from 8.50 to 6.60 and still fighting to break
the barrier at 7.

With rains we can anticipate profits in this quater.
But my favourite is VPEL.

* there is a rumour that electricity board has not extended few companies licences. Be aware about that..
Anybody know anything in detail ?
