TPL is amazing. Despite lower tea prices (below the cost of production) it was able to maintain some profit in this quarter although it was down when compare with corresponding period last year. In a higher tea prices environment (above the cost of production) they will make attractive profits. It is one of the best managed plantation companies in Sri-Lanka and they have some of the best high grown high quality tea in the world. It is time to follow high grown tea prices in the coming months and quarters to get better decisions.

Net asset per Share: Rs.69.45

EPS is only 0.25 (last 2nd Q was 1.74 & there was a 3.00 Dividend too, this Quarter no dividend)
PER is 88.78!
I think these are RED signals to enter now...
Net Asset Per Share  (Rs.69.45) says it's good!
Experts, what's your opinion?

As I said before earning of plantations companies will be not that good in this quarter. So far both WATA and TPL managed to make some small profit in this quarter. We cannot make decisions by following one quarter or few quarterly reports. We have to analyse its long term outlook now. We should follow tea charts, long term outlook and tea prices etc. Currently Kenyan tea is having strong demand and strong prices.Tea stocks can be considered as contrarian plays now. Don’t forget some momentum rally in this group. Remember last year’s out of favour stocks going to become favourable stocks in 2015 and 2016. Tea stocks will not stay as out of favour stocks for ever.

Not only Iran factor but also American factor also will benefit tea industry in the future. I don’t think Sri-Lankan rupee will depreciate much. It had devolution when it was trading around Rs.113/115 agonist USD. After devolution it shot up to around Rs. 137 levels. It can have minor depreciation against USD in 2017 and 2018 when USD become very hot. Gold will crush further. On the other hand currencies such as NZD, AUD, CAD and Malaysian Ringgit will depreciate against USD and Sri-Lankan rupee. Anyway we will wait and see.
