A bit confusing but it seems that Singer (Sri Lanka) BV is owned by Singer Asia which in turn is owned by Retail Holdings NV
http://www.retailholdings.com/corp_main.html
It looks like the former Singer NV changed the name to Retail Holdings after selling the sewing machine business and the Singer Trademark in 2004.
But there is another site http://www.singer.com/index_flash.html#ani that links to Singer Sri-Lanka, probably the trademark connection.
