don't take the fertilizer shovelled by some of these company accountants at face value. sometimes you have to double check the numbers.

VFIN profit after tax for the year is 107.9 million. Number of shares outstanding is 41 million, therefore EPS for the year is around 2.5 and not the 5.94 figure given

VFIN profit for the quarter is 37 million. number of shares is 41 million therefore EPS for the quarter is less than 1 not the 7.06 figure given.

i'm surprised that the accountants who work for dhammika perera don't seem to know how to use a calculator?

What a biggest mistaken his accountant made. If you divide the net profit after the tax for the quarter, you will get only Rs0.88. Currently trading, PE ratio just below 19. It's fairly valued to the current market price.

Yes, the quarter EPS seemed 0.88. Last night, I was trying hard to figure out how they arrived at 7.06. The only way I could imagine was 'taking the revenue figure and divide it by the number of share had prior to the subdivision.' -That's the highest ratio someone can produce on this report I guess.
