Integrated infrastructure and engineering solutions provider MTD Walkers PLC in partnership with the Ministry of Public Administration, Local Government and Democratic Governance and the Board of Investment (BOI) of Sri Lanka is offering public sector employees an opportunity to own apartments at Richmond Hill Residencies in Galle.
Built under the Nila Sevana Public Servants Housing Project, public sector employees are given preferred pricing for the apartments, while they are also available for the private sector employees at a higher price. The housing project will extend to all districts to meet the growing demand for quality built, affordable homes for public sector employees.
At an event held last week, Minister of Buddhasasana, Public Administration, Local Government and Democratic Governance Karu Jayasuriya, handed over Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) to 50 prospective buyers for Richmond Hill Residencies in Galle.  Each buyer also received a token gift from the MTD Walkers PLC as a sign of appreciation for the trust they placed in the company and committing to buy the apartment upon completion.
Speaking at the event, Pravin Peiris, Head of Operations - Wincon Development Ceylon of MTD Walkers PLC hailed the efforts and the commitment by the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Public Administration, Local Government and Democratic Governance and BOI to promote house ownership amongst public sector employees.  He further added, “We look forward to continued support from the Ministry and BOI as we look at building similar housing projects in other areas in Sri Lanka,”
Richmond Hill Residencies in Galle is approximately three kilometers from Galle town and is minutes away from the prestigious Richmond College, public transport, and numerous convenient facilities.  The 512 homes are available in a three bedroom 695 square foot home or in a three bedroom 776 square foot home.
Richmond Hill Residencies will be ready for occupation in August.
MTD Walkers PLC, in operation since 1854 is the seventh oldest company in Sri Lanka and is a listed company in the Colombo Stock Exchange.
