John Keells Holdings which has invested in three high end resorts in the Maldives was planning to strengthen its presence in the archipelago.
Maldivian Tourism and Aviation Minister Adeeb Abdul Gafoor in an in an exclusive interview with "The Island Financial Review" in Male recently, said that while Aitken Spence was "expanding its presence" in the Maldivian leisure sector, John Keels Holdings was "looking for new Islands."
Chaaya Island Dhonveli, located in the Male atoll and surrounded by indigo beaches, Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa in Meemu Atoll and Chaaya Reef Ellaidhoo, encircled by white sandy beaches in the North Ari atoll are the three properties managed by the Keells Group of Hotels.
