Since I experienced the market crash previously in the years, today the 2nd day of RED I sold all my stocks, BFL (90%) and GRAN (10%). Since I had bought at low levels already, I felt this is best to exit. Still not a single market in the world has not recovered from the RED since it has been continuing from last week. Sri Lanka red started yesterday therefore this will last for a few days or weeks or months. No body knows. When I feel the market is stable to go GREEN again will buy all BFL and poultry stocks once again from low levels. This is my story to help you guys who are stuck in margin is best to clear off the margin or will face more losses. Others can hold on to their stocks or if wish to make profits buying low again can do just like me.

On what ground you came to conclusion that this is a market crash?

In my view cse will not crash like other countries.it will sustain with minor ups and downs.

Come on !

the companies are worth and have lots of untapped potentials with good educated people and we just raising after a long slow down. All countries are coming to invest here.

Play it safe but don't loose the confident sand potentials that are there.

Please take your decisions by your self according to your circumstances and don't rely on others but gather information from every where including the world happenings.

Thanks

I did not say it was a crash. Since the entire world markets are down and SL also affected, this will continue for a few days may be. No one can be sure exactly when it will recover until we witness it. I was warning the people with margin when market falls they will have to balance and clear margin where the brokers will force sell which I experienced in the previous crash.

We should not create an economic crisis when there is no such crisis. This sort of a reaction is a phobia.

Why did other world potential world market leaders like Facebook, NETFLIX, etc all totaled more than $200 billion losses for the past few days. It's happening everywhere.

Check out the foreign buy/sell, when the entire world market is red, do they still want to keep their money in SL? They fear this will also red and start taking out the cash and this was the result of RED.

Hi Rizan666, you can't compare face book and Netflix with our jkh, hhl, ...

They are all established world over and quoted in many leading exchange.

You are comparing pumpkin to sesame seeds .

Any way I note your point.

Thanks

Word economic crisis will not have much effect on CSE since its a tiny market comparing with giants. One big buying can change the hall CSE dear. Not a good dicision at this point .. We are still bulls.

75% of stock holdings in the CSE is belongs to our local peoples rest of 25% holding Foreigners. The global impact for CSE and Sri lanka is very minimal. In fact we are benefiting a lot from the global sell off of commodities like Gold,Crude oil,Copper,Soya bean etc.... no need to worry guys. just buy good fundamental sound stock before mega rally...... after one two weeks CSE Dark Green............cheers.....!!!!

Current show in Sri Lanka is not much related to global crisis .
If they manage the internal situations effectively no debacle is expected in CSE.
This   is not a difficult country to take forward. We export mainly to USA. We import from China.

Our main concern is heavy recurrent  expenditure in government side.

CSE has reacted to many things. Specially the political uncertainty, global market turn around, etc.

We have witnessed sharp dip up to now. I sense a temporary up but cannot predict about the sustainability.

Happy Investments
