Much criticised the set back of the market is slowly returning to positive mood averting propagated market crash situation. Though off the floor dealings contributed substantially to revamp the market, gradual inclining trend of foreign inflow keeps the market persuasion live.

About three weeks away from annual budget of new government that said to be placed a better environment for investors who are really in excited mood. Also, anticipated overall corporate results fall at the higher end would be another factor driven for progressive market.

Under such limited considerations can we expect a hop-step-jump before the budget reading with occasional dips???

After initial stages of bull market, we saw range bound market in the CSE.  Again it is at the lower range bound now. Sofar we are seeing attractive earnings from some listed companies. We will see more attractive earnings from listed companies and earnings surprises in the coming days and weeks. Unlike those days almost all political parties are private sector friendly now.

As I said before we should see pre-budget rally and post budget rally as well. In addition, we could see year end rally. On top of that there will be demand for stocks prior to releasing quarterly earnings as well.

We should see strong activity in blue chips, mid and small stocks in the coming weeks.

Some of the sectors to watch are:

Food and beverages
Diversify
Banking and Finance
Manufacturing
Power and energy

Even there could be demand for plantation, hotel and health care sectors etc.
