Hi

I applied for softlogic , 4000 in lots of 1000. But I did not transfer money to my current account yet.

1) Is it too late to do now
2) Do you think it's better not buy any from softlogic by looking at Expo performance.

pls advice

1) I think you still have the time to put money, normally it takes time for cheques to get cleared. But do it as soon as possible.

2) That you had to decide earlier not now, there were lots of negative comments on both the IPOs.

I think it will be same as Expo

Dont think in this way. Softlogic is not the same as expo. Its a booming conglomerate which has attracted a lot of foreign investments. Their growth pace is amazing. I believe that there will be more than enough buyers ready to grab some shares in it moment it launches on the cse. Go ahead and invest this is a sound stock which has great potential. At the rate that they keep aquiring companies and adding new brands this share price should be almost always booming.

After issuing cheques, if you do not have money in your a/c , you would be in trouble.

When you say "I applied for softlogic , 4000 in lots of 1000.", does it mean that you made 4 separate applications?
If it's so, to my knowledge, anyway your applications will be rejected.

If you do not have money or do not wanted to buy Softlogic, just issue "Stop Payment" note to the bank immediately giving the cheque numbers.

Then you r safe - from bank side.

Did you join the forum only to promote softlogic IPO? I am curious after looking at your posting history!

This is what Futurebillionaire said in another post.

If you do not wish yo apply I guess you can
a) ask you bank to make stop payment as
b) ask company to cancel your application ( I have not done this but I guess it would be courtesy if you make a stop payment)

Softlogic IPO is not to expand there business but to retire their debt of Rs 4.0 Bn. This will not specifically improve the top line but the bottom line. Having seen the AWPLR is hovering around 9%-9.5% during last three quarters or it brings several questions to my mind.

1. Proposed debt retirement would bring around Rs 350 Mn towards the bottom line at most.
2. In the current market conditions SOFT would have negotiated the existing borrowings to a rate AWPLR - %. Average means there are borrowers who borrow below AWPLR. Present borrowings are AWPLR + % as I can remember. Our banking system has enough excess liquidity so that its very easy for a PLATINUM CONGLOMERATE to negotiate a low priced (even at a fixed rate) borrowing.
3. People expect SOFT to grow. How do they raise capital for that? They have plans to bring up regional hospitals in the country. How do they finance it? Borrowing again? back to square one.
4. By that time what if the rates are high again. Bottom line will be eroded due to finance cost.
5. If they were prudent they would have used these funds for expansion after negotiating the existing borrowings.
6. Having seen the "133% EXPO Effect" today. I am very eager to see the "400%+ SOFT Effect" soon.

P.S. I had EXPO and I applied for SOFT too. On paper EXPO is better than SOFT
