Lot of people of the opinion that the Rubber prices going up due to heavy demand but failing to understand that there are supply side issues which is a result of escalating prices. Earlier with COVID-19 spread and ramping up on glove production increased rubber demand. The rubber manufacturers went on a collections spree foreseeing shortages further increasing demand. Things started getting worse with shipment delays ,Increased freight cost and exchange rates on Imported Latex for BOI factories further fueling local rubber demand

The latest issue is fertiliser shortages and a fast-spreading new leaf disease affecting rubber plantations. economical and sustainable rubber plantation enterprises depend largely on high rate of fertilizer supplementation because rubber is a high nutrient demanding crop especially during the immaturity phase of their growth and development (1 - 6 years). Now comes the plantation yield and quality issues due to this

I think KOTA went for a rights issue at this time. So those who bought it would want to send the price up to dump it. Please do the math after rights and see the valuation

For me still this is not pump and dump.when you take the prices today till authorities lifted 25% cap it was holding on nicely .then it went up to 9.20 and came back to 7/7.20 and again settled at 8.20.so its difficult to think its pump and dump .anyway let's see nxt week

KOTA is grossly undervalued in my opinion and I will share my rational.

Commodity prices are on an incline especially rubber which is 100% up YoY, KOTA is a nett FX Exporter and will benefit from currency devaluation, Has Immature plantations which will start yielding at full potential from FY22 and onwards and via the cash infusion due to the rights issue, the company has now eased liquidity issues it was experiencing.

It should be also noted the promoters of the company had lent 0.5b to the company and this rights issue was initiated with a debt to equity swap in mind. We will see KOTA offload 0.5b from its balance sheet and thereby reduce its leverage and financing costs.

We expect the price of the shares to dip once the rights are listed given the latest share price appreciation making it an attractive opportunity for those who subscribed to the rights. However, the main shareholders are long term investors in the company and we expect the price to consolidate as volumes are further absorbed by the long term investors.

KOTA is on route for long term trajectory growth and we expect it to reach Rs 20+ soon given its earnings improvement and low market cap. It should also be highlighted the plantation industry is experiencing volatile times due to escalating costs, unavailability of fertilisers and Government intervention in the Palm Oil Industry.

Today it offered a huge day trading opportunity and I got the benefit of it.collected a lot at 5 to 5.20 and exited around 6.20.when u see it today down by 25% from yesterdays price obviously can feel a chance there for day trading.(It was the top loser today up until 1 pm and price decreased almost 25%)

New investors tend to make mistake by looking at the price at the first glance.

You should look at PE / PE Growth / EPS / # of share quantity / Financial reports / E & L etc etc to decide as opposed to the mere current price.

Comparing with KOTA vs KGAL , for me KGAL is more attractive.

Significant accumulation of KOTA was witnessed today with 9.3m shares acquired by HNWI's

The share is being increasingly liquid and now a favourite of many.

Upcoming quarter earnings are also positive and can expect a run beyond Rs 10 - 15 soon backed by low float and expected earnings
