Both  SFS - Swarnamahal Financial Services  Ltd-
and  CSF - Nation Lanka Finance PLC-  reported trading price of 1.30 today.

Undoubtedly one should worth than the other.
Which is your bet ?

SFS is still a negative value entity. It reported an operating profit of Rs. 0.44 per share and final profit of Rs. 0.03 for last year.

CSF has reached to 1 rupee asset value per share. It's operating profit was Rs. 2.15 per share but  after an impairment loss of 1 rupee and other expenses, they reported Rs. 0.22 final profit for last year.

For me it's CSF. If they overcome the agony of impairment charges , CSF will become an attractive  stock to investors .

Some others say SFS is worth to buy due to Gold soaring.

Many people are trying for that at the moment.

But, in 6-8 months time it may go down to 60 cents if the county's economy failed to sustain,

OR can go over 2.50 and beyond if economy settled down.

I did some buying @ 1.30. Cannot take any big buying decisions due to the spreading financial crisis created by this government. They are at desperate situation even now struggling to collect few billions. I cannot imagine how they find 400 billion just to pay salaries next year.

Technically csf is in whipsaw movement at the moment. As Chinwi said, this is not a crap and have good fundamentals to backing it's value. This may give high percentage returns in coming months, years. If they continue to have profits, there is no way it come down to 0.60 levels. Now they are focusing on micro finance and that could give them more than ordinary earnings.

Even though topic does not suggest this share it is above the Sfs and csf.
I am also in the buying side of csf

There are many reforms and developments happening behind CSF. It is advisable to slowly collect and hold CSF for your future. If you are planning to save for your children then buy 50,000 shares and keep for five years. You will be amazed.

Few months ago CSF issued lot of rights @ 1/-. and made it successful. Last date was 3 rd March 2016.

They issued 2 rights for 1 share held. After the announcement of dates, the trading price of N share dropped to 1 Rupee from 1.80 - 2.00 range.
Many people lost interest to subscribe for their rights as N share dropped to same price.

Meanwhile some investors bought lot of rights @ 10 cents from those who sold. Hence their cost per share is 1.10.
They also subscribed for all the rights they got and cost was 1 rupee.

For them who invested in millions , selling @ 1.30 is 20%-30% gain in 3 months.

I had no CSF , didn't buy rights because of their bad looking book at that time.

What ? How do you know I bought it ? Razz

I buy any share to keep over 12 months or some 2 years.

Some shares like CFVF you can target 6-8 month disposal if you enter at the right time.

For CFS , if I see green light, my collecting spree will last 2 years and then decide what to do. In between you should re check your buying decision based on company progress and situation of the country. .
