Reasons for LITE to move up

- Eveready batteries withdrawn from Sri Lanka market

- New products from LITE such as CFL Bulbs

Last Year EPS is 1.14
Last Qtr EPS is : 0.56

The turnover from Penlite Batteries, CFL Bulbs and Rechargeable torches which constitutes the core trading operation of the Company showed a very satisfactory sales during the current year vis-a-vis the achievement of the previous year. Laxapana’s Marketing Division took advantage of the vacuum in the market to thrust its marketing efforts more aggressively to take advantage of the available opportunity. Keeping in line with our policy of diversifying our range of products and the manufacturing activities to achieve a more dominant presence in the lighting market, the Company commenced its CFL Bulb assembly operations during mid-2014. This new manufacturing initiative enabled the Company to increase the sales by twofold in this sector. ( Chairmans Review -Annual Report 2015/16)

The Laxpana brand is known and relied on by customers for over 50 years as a dependable supplier of quality torch batteries. It is very specially accepted and popular in the non- metropolitan areas, specially in regions where agriculture predominates. As a medium term strategy the Company will continue to market imported dry cell batteries and to complement the range of products, GLS Bulbs, CFL Bulbs and Safety Wax Matches have been introduced to the market under the brand name Laxapana. Several other products are also under study to be introduced by Laxapana in addition to the existing range. (Annual Report)

if we assume they can repeat  last Qtr EPS they will end this year with a EPS of 2.24.(0.56x4) But their annual report mentions they have potential to further increase the top line and bottom line

Therefore I am looking at a EPS range 2.25-2.50 with the current results at  the moment until June Qtr get released

Please do your own analysis before making any decision.also share your comments
