But most of the retailers I have talk to hate their broker as an 'investment adviser'. (Myself is not an exception).
Why???
Do brokers (I mean their advisers) are dumb? Or do they talk nonsense? OR do they like us to loose? Do they have evil minds to exploit us? Are they dishonest?
There could be exceptions, but in my view most of them can not be that evil.
Then why do we hate them?
My answer is misunderstanding. Misreading.
See.. There are only about 20 odd brokers. There are thousands of investors.
We do not try understanding them, at the same time they do not understand us.
Like I said some other day..
anyone can give or find a reason to sell/buy or not to sell/buy.
Some broker (person) may be thinking of 10 years ahead and recommend while another person may consider 10hours ahead and recommend a share.
We need to find the adviser suits to our requirement.
Two persons can 'look' at the same thing but they might 'see' different things. The stock market is also a 'thing'... You may have seen that famous picture; if you were thinking of a young girl, you would see a girls picture; if you were thinking of an old lady, you would see an old lady..
Different people 'look' at the same market but they 'see' different markets!
That is human nature. All of us are human. So is the market.
