HEXP – EXCELLENT SEPT. QUARTER PERFORMANCE

Hayleys Fibre PLC which showed dramatic turnaround from last quarter 2015/16 had again recorded a net profit of Rs. 11.8M for the quarter ended Sept. 2016 in comparison to Rs. 2.5M for the corresponding period 2015/16. This records a phenomenal growth of 363%. EPS has grown from Rs. 0.27 to Rs. 1.48.

Similarly net profit for the 1st half increased to Rs. 26.3M compared to a loss of Rs. 3.9M for the corresponding period. E.P.S. has increased to Rs. 3.30 M from minus   (0.49) which is a remarkable growth.

This confirms sustainability of the good performance of HEXP including NPAT. According to reliable sources much awaited sale of property would take place early part of this month and the quarterly reports reconfirms sales of Ekala property for           Rs. 420M is in the process of disposal and net profit to by Rs. 215M. The investors should be on alert for this news which may come suddenly.

We refresh the memories of investors on positive implication from land sales as follows,
(1) Cash per share
To be increased by
Rs.
*    48.00
(2)  EPS    *
Rs. 22.84 + 3.30 + 6        Year end
Rs.
32.14
(3)  NAV    *
Rs. 22.84 + 62.56 = 85.4 + Rs. 6
                                    Year end
Rs.
91.4
(4)  Price if PBV at 2
Rs.
182
(5)  Price if  PE at 8
Rs.
256

* Increase due to sale

In above calculation, he says , EPS = 32.14  and PER 8 ,
EPS x PER = trading price
32 x 8 = 256.

He derived 256 as the should be trading price based on EPS and PER !

මේක සම්පූර්ණයෙන්ම පට්ට පල් බොරු ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමකි. මෙම ගණනයන් සිදුකර ඇති ක්‍රමය අමු බොරු වකි.
