should we aim at long term investments or short term investments when starting to buy shares in small range (say 25000 rupees)

this has been a common question of lot of beginners who start to invest in the stick market.they wonder if they should aim at the long term profit or making short term profits to increase their money.can any expert explain this please??

"Wapuraputharamata thamai aswenna."
Anybody should be able to understand this.
U have to wait for a certain period to reap. If U have sown at correct time, correct seed, at correct place after some time U may reap the crop. But several facts affects the crop ie, natural disasters, Insects, weeds, etc. So U have to work accordingly. Immature crop has no value or less value.
This simple scenario is applicable to stock exchange as well,
( U can't compare these tow 100% but up to some reasonable extent these can be compared.)
And rice seeds gives crop of rice not that of coconut...

I collected HNB @ 218 VONE at 38 and CARS at 585 and PAP@ 4.7 HNB went up to 220 CARS up to 600 and VONE came down to 30 and PAP came down to 4.4. I will have to see what would be the prices in three to four weeks. Which are the better options medium term investments or the short term gains?

I also started trading by put 25000 rupees into my account. I used only 10000 rupees till I understand the market.

Buy low priced shares which are safe and strong. Learn the background of shares such as details of company, financial situation, changes of share price with the time, condition of a share( normal or abnormal; that means manipulated or not) etc.

DON'T BUY ON CREDIT. DO IT IF YOU WANT TO FALL INTO A BIG TROUBLE.

YOUR ADVISER MAY PROVIDE BASELESS IDEAS. DON"T FOLLOW THEM IF YOU DON"T KNOW WHAT HE TOLD EXACTLY.

I started trading during War period. I can remember i started with only Rs.40,000. First 2 stocks i bought was SLTL and DIST. On that time SLT was below Rs.30 and DIST below 70. My advice is try to start with a solid stock that has greater future potential until you get some experience. try to gain some knowledge, Be patient. have small targets.. good luck!

If you need to invest with 25,000 buy 10,000 shares of FLCH @2 or buy 45000 shares of SEMB.X@.50 cents wait 5 year or more..
If you need to trade with 25,000....buy 10,000 shares of TESS@2.50 end of next week end....and exit at correct time...
If you need to loose 25,000 buy 100 shares of ASCO@195.00 or buy 150 shares of SFS@ 160
Good luck!

absolute correct. before putting money on certain stocks observe and ask members here not one or 2 at least few to get an idea of the stock.but to be profitable you need to have your own trading plan in the long run. Laughing
