I feel with the bad behavior of the Soft logic first day price, the primary market investors have really disappointed. And this will surely make future IPOs less attractive. Also will be a good turning point.

What are your feelings? Smile

Let me recall Tubal's signature for the 4th time..

There isn't a law that says you need to buy into an IPO/Introduction on the first day.
The law doesn't say you have to subscribe to each and every IPO.
The law enforcement authorities can't protect you against your own stupidity

Isuru, I dont think that future IPO s are attractive bcs most company directors are trying to cheat retailers. Now CSE has lost invester confidence. That is mainly due to poor monoitoring system of IPOs by regulators. At least bcs of this situation number of IPOs would be reduce in the coming months thus dtrenthening purchasing power of the investor. THis what we can expect at curret scenario.

The immediate reaction of investor will be a hate rate towards IPOs. If future IPOs to be more attractive the SEC has to introduce new rules and implement existing ones to determine a fare value for a share, before an IPO, considering facts like their EPS,NAVL etc.,if companies gonna to do this they will steal poor investors money and run away. Im very much confused about these Privet Placements, seems these pp ppl dumb there shares in bulks to the mkt in first place as they have already earned, some times more than 50% ,capital gain. All these ppl at SEC are paid by us in the end from various taxes paid by us to the Gov so instead of focus their attention for few ppl they have to make rules that benefit ppl at large. Evil or Very Mad

SEC can not say we are not responsible for these kind IPOs. because it is their duty to restrict unethical behaviour of stock market stakeholders. These kind unethical IPOs could damage entire financial system because investor confidence on stock market is gradually diminishing.

If they want to protect retailers they should stop these kind of unethical behavours done by big companies and stock brokers rather imposing credit restrictions to poor retailers.

I think sooner or later we might see retailers protest infront of SEC and CSE office buildings same as what happened in Bangaladesh.
