Chevron Lubricants Lanka net profit for the six months ended June 2011 were at 836 million rupees compared with 788 million rupees the year before, while sales for the period went up nine percent to nearly five billion rupees.
The earnings per share were 6.96 rupees for 1H 2011 compared with 6.57 rupees the previous year.
Net profit was up two percent to 423 million rupees in the June 2011 quarter although revenue rose 10 percent to 2.5 billion rupees.
Other operating income jumped to five million rupees in the three months in the quarter from 126,000 rupees a year ago.
EPS for the June quarter were 3.52 rupees compared with 3.45 rupees the previous year.
The firm's main raw material to make lubricants, base oil, has been going up in price in recent months.
