The payment of Interim allowance to public sector officers as per Budget Proposals - 2015 declared by President Maithripala Sirisena will be implemented from this month.
The circular in this respect has been issued by the Public Administration Provincial Councils, Local Government and Democratic Governance Ministry Secretary J. Dadallage.
Rs. 5,000 will be paid as an allowance from this month in addition to the monthly interim allowance of Rs. 3,000 which is paid at present.
Action will be taken to pay Rs. 2,000, which is the balance to be paid from the monthly allowance of Rs. 10,000 proposed to be paid to the officers in the public sector, from June 2015.
Rs. 1,000 will be added as an allowance to be effective from April 2015 to the monthly interim allowance of Rs. 2,500 which is now paid to the pensioners, sundayobserver.lk
