(LBO) - Sierra Cables, listed firm that mostly makes power conductors said is getting into the plastic pipe manufacture through a new joint venture with an unlisted affiliate.

Sierra Cables said in a stock exchange the unit will make PVC (poly vinyl chloride) and HDPE (high density polypropylene) pipes.

It will have a 50 percent stake Sierra Industries (Pvt) Ltd. The balance will be held by Sierra Holdings (Pvt) Limited.
