Hey Guys,
I just started to do tradings with directFN yesterday, with capital trust, after opening a new cds account.( I used S C Securities online system before)

I saw there are 2 new options that I have never heard or seen, under TIF in the place order window. They are,

1. Immediate Or Cancel
2.Fill or Kill

Please, anybody can tell me what is the purpose of these two? Very Happy

I could not find them in my software. perhaps U have a different version. Kindly tell me the version if you find it.

(I am not sure but) sounds like.....
Immediate of cancel - may be if the order is not executed immediately (perhaps within few minutes) order get automatically cancelled.

Fill or Kill -
Orders can get partially filled. this may be a facility to avoid than and get the total order quantity get filled at once ( to avoid extra tx fee for example). But n DFN, that was already available somewhere else if I am not mistaken.

Perhaps you can check these yourself and educate us now of the correct answer.

Can you go to the Main menu > help > about DirectFN TWS ?
Then you will see the version.

It should be something like;
"
DirectFN TWS workstation
Version 1.0.6.2
Built date 02/09/2010
"

your version looks like a newer one.

directFN TWS itself has a version. It's on the bottom right of the window.
