මරණය මොන තරම් වේදනාකාරීද? ප්‍රියයන්ගෙන් වෙන්වීම දුකක්‌ යෑයි බුදුන් දෙසූයේ එනිසාය. මරණයක්‌ හමුවේ මොන තරම් දරදඬු සිතක්‌ වුවද වෙඬරු පිඩක්‌ සේ උණුවන බව සැබෑය. නිරෝගී මිනිසුන්, රෝගී වූ විට යන්නේ වෛද්‍යවරු ළඟටය. මැරෙන හැටි වැඩිපුරම දකින්නේ වෛද්‍යවරුන්ය. වෛද්‍යවරුන්ට රෝගී මිනිසුන් මෙන්ම රෝගීව මරු වැළඳ ගන්නා මිනිසුන් දැකීම ඉතා සාමාන්‍යයකි.

නමුත් පසුගිය සතියේ සෙනසුරාදා (17 වැනිදා) වතුපිටිවල රෝහලට ඇතුළත් කළ තරුණයකු නිසා නම් රෝහලේ වෛද්‍යවරුන්ට හඬන්නට සිදුවිය. රෝහල් කාර්ය මණ්‌ඩලයට මේ තරුණයා කළ කී දෑ අසා ඉකි ගස ගසා හඬන්නට සිතිණි. ඒ අය හැඬුවේ ජීවිතයත්, මරණයත් මොන තරම් එකට බද්ධ වූවක්‌ දැයි හැඟුන නිසාම නොවේ. තව ටිකකින් අවසන් හුස්‌ම පොද හෙළන මේ තරුණයා ජීවිතය, මරණය මෙන්ම මවට, සොයුරියට දක්‌වන අසීමිත සෙනෙහස පිළිබඳ කථා කළ දේවල් නිසාය.

ඒ කතාව මෙසේය.

සමීර ප්‍රසාද් අසුරමාන්න විසිහතර හැවිරිදිය. ඔහු පාසල් දිවියට ආයුබෝවන් කීවේ අපොස සාමාන්‍ය පෙළ මෙන්ම උසස්‌ පෙළ ද හොඳින් සමත් වූ පසුවය. සමීර කුඩා කල සිටම යන්ත්‍ර සූත්‍ර හැදීමට කැමැත්තක්‌ දැක්‌වීය. ඒ අනුව පාසල් දිවියෙන් පසු ඔහුගේ සිත ඇදී ගියේ වායුසමීකරණ පාඨමාලාවක්‌ වෙතය. හරි ඉක්‌මනින්ම ඒ තාක්‌ෂණය ඔහු හඳුනාගත්තේය. මල්වාන ප්‍රදේශයේ වාසුසමන යන්ත්‍ර ආයතනයක රස්‌සාවක්‌ ලැබුණේ ඊට පසුවය. වායුසමීකරණ යන්ත්‍ර ක්‍රියාකරුවෙකු වූ සමීර ඒ රස්‌සාව හරි ආශාවෙන් කරන්නට පටන් අරන් වැඩි කාලයක්‌ ද නැත.

සමීරලා ජීවත්ව සිටියේ වේයන්ගොඩ එළුවාපිටියේය. වේයන්ගොඩ නගරය සමීරට ගම බඳුය. පාරට බැස්‌ස විට මිතුරන් ඔහු වටා රොක්‌වන්නේ සැබෑ මිතුරෙකු ලෙස ඔහු කීර්තියක්‌ දිනා සිටි නිසාය.

සමීර බොහෝ විට ගමන් බිමන් ගියේ දුම්රියෙනි. දුම්රියේ යැම ඒම ඔහුට හොඳ හැටි පුරුදුය.

පසුගිය සෙනසුරාදා (17 වැනිදා) සමීර දුම්රියේ නැගී ගමනක්‌ ගියේය. ආපසු එනවිටත් ඔහු පැමිණියේ දුම්රියෙනි. මහව දුම්රිය ස්‌ථානයට දුම්රිය පැමිණි පසු දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ සේවකයන් පැමිණ දුම්රිය පාපුවරුවේ ගැලවී තිබූ ඇණ සවිකරන්නට වූහ.

පාපුවරුවක ගැලවී තිබූ ඇණ හතරෙන් දෙකක්‌ පමණක්‌ සවිකළ පසු දුම්රිය ධාවනය කළේය.

සමීර පාපුවරුවට පය තිබ්බා පමණි. ඇණ දෙකකින් සවි කර තිබූ පාපුවරුවත් කඩාගෙන ඔහු ඇද වැටිණි. ඔහුගේ දෙපා ඒ වනවිටත් දුම්රියේ රෝද අතරට ගොස්‌ තිබිණි. සමීරට ජීවිතයේ කිසි දිනක නොදැනෙන වේදනාවක්‌ දැනෙන විට යකඩ යකා ඉදිරියට ඇදි ඇදී ගොස්‌ නතර විය. සමීරට වූ දේ දුටු මගීහු කෑ ගසද්දී, අසල සිටි ජනයා ලතෝනි තබන්නට වූහ.

යකඩ රෝදවලට හසුවූ සමීරගේ උදරයෙන් පහළ කොටස දෙකට වෙන්වී ගොස්‌ තිබිණි. නමුත් සමීර තවමත් ජීවතුන් අතරය.

"මල්ලියේ මගෙ කකුල් දෙක කෝ. කකුල් දෙක කැඩිලා වෙන්වෙලා නේද? ළඟට පැමිණි තරුණයකුගෙන් සමීර විමසද්දී ඒ තරුණයාට පුදුම සිතිණි. ඒ තරුණයාට පමණක්‌ නොව දුම්රියේ පැමිණි මගීන්ද අහල පහල සිටි උදවියද මේ තරුණායට වූ දේ බලන්නට රොක්‌ වෙද්දී, තරුණයා කෑලි දෙකට වෙන්ව තිබියදීත් කතා කරනවා දුටු පසු විමතියට පත්වූහ.

පැය භාගයක්‌ තිස්‌සේ සමීර එක එක දේවල් විමසන්නට විය. නමුත් කිසිවකු ඔහුව රෝහල්ගත කරන්නට උත්සාහ ගත්තේ නැත. පසුව දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තු සේවකයන් හා තවත් තරුණයන් කිහිප දෙනකු වෙන්ව තිබූ සමීරගේ උදරයෙන් පහළ කොටස හා උදරයෙන් ඉහළ කොටස වෙන වෙනම වතුපිටිවල රෝහල වෙත රැගෙන ආහ.

ඒ වනවිටත් සමීර සිහියෙන්ය. හොඳ සිහියෙන්ය. වතුපිටිවල රෝහලේ වෛද්‍ය ශාන්ත කුමාර අමරසිංහ මහතා වෙත රෝගියා ගෙන එනවිට සවස 3.30 පමණ වී තිබිණි.

"ඩොක්‌ටර් අනේ ඩොක්‌ටර් මට වෙච්ච දේ දැන්ම අම්මට කියන්න එපා. අම්මට මේ දුක උහුලගන්න බැරිව මැරෙයි." ඔහු වෛද්‍ය ශාන්ත කුමාර අමරසිංහ මහතාගෙන් මුලින්ම ඉල්ලුවේ ඒ ඉල්ලීමය.

"මොකද වුණේ. ඔයා දුම්රියට පැන්නද?"

වෛද්‍ය නිලධාරිතුමා රෝගියාගෙන් විමසුවේ මිත්‍රත්වය ඇතිවන ලෙසිනි.

"නෑ ඩොක්‌ටර් මට දුම්රියට පැනලා මැරෙන්න තරම් ප්‍රශ්න නෑ. මම පාපුවරුව ළඟට ආවා. ඒ එක්‌කම පාපුවරුව කඩාගෙන මාව වැටුණා." ඔහු කියා සිටියේය.

වෛද්‍යවරයාට හරි පුදුමය. උදරයෙන් පහළ කොටස සම්පූර්ණයෙන් ගැලවී ගොස්‌ තිබියදීත් මේ තරුණයා ඉතා හොඳ සිහියෙනි.

"බයවෙන්න එපා" වෛද්‍යවරයා අවශ්‍ය ක්‍ෂණික ප්‍රතිකාර ලබා දෙන්නට පටන් ගත්තේය.

ඒ වනවිටත් විශේෂඥ ශල්‍ය වෛද්‍ය නිහාල් නුගදූව මහතාද රෝගියා අසලට පැමිණියේ හදිසි කැඳවීමෙනි. රෝගියාගේ තත්ත්වය දුටු සැණින් මොහුව ජීවත්කරවීමට අපහසු බව විශේෂඥ වෛද්‍යවරයා නිගමනය කළේය.

"අනේ ඩොක්‌ටර්... මම අම්මට හරි ආදරෙයි. මට දැන් කකුල් දෙකත් නෑ. මාව ජීවත් කරවන්න බෑ කියලා මම දන්නවා" සමීර වෛද්‍යවරු හමුවේ කියන්නට වූහ.

"ඩොක්‌ටර් මට පොඩි උදව් දෙකක්‌ කරන්න."

"මොකක්‌ද කරන්න ඕනේ උදව්ව."

මගෙ කොන්ද රිදෙනවා ඩොක්‌ට. ඒ වේදනාව නැතිවෙන්න ඉන්ජෙක්‌ෂන් එකක්‌ ගහන්න. තිබහයි දිව ගිsලෙන්න යනවා වතුර ටිකක්‌ දෙන්න" ඔහු ඉල්ලුවේ ඒ ඉල්ලීම් දෙකය. තරුණ වෛද්‍යවරිය දෙස බැලූ ඔහු කීවේ අබ්බගාත කෙනෙක්‌ව බඳින්න කවුද කැමැති නේද ඩොක්‌ටර් කියාය.

සමීර දුම්රියට හසුවූ පසු දෙකට වෙන්ව යැම මහ අවාසනාවන්ත සිද්ධියකි. එවැනි විටක රෝගියාගේ දෙකඩ වූ තැනින් ලේ වහනය වන්නේ නැත. හේතුව රුධිර ගෙනයන ධමනි තැලී යැමය. සේලයින් හෝ වෙනත් බෙහෙතක්‌ ලබා දුන් සැණින් ධමනි විවර වේ. ලේ වහනය පටන් ගනී. සමීර රෝහලට ගෙන එනවිට ඔහුගේ සිරුරෙන් ලේ වහනය නොවූ බව දුම්රිය සේවකයන් හා සෙසු අය දුටුවේ එනිසාය.

සමීරට සොයුරියකද සිටී. ඔවුනගේ පියා සමීරට අවුරුදු හතරක්‌ පිරන විට මිය ගියේ පවුලේ සියලු බර මවට දෙමිනි. සමීරත්, ඔහුගේ නංගීත් දහසක්‌ ප්‍රශ්න මැද හැදුවේ ඒ දිරිය මවය. ඒ මව මේ දුක කෙලෙස වාවනු ඇද්ද? අවුරුදු විසිහතරක්‌ තිස්‌සේ දෑස මෙන් රැකගත්, හදාවඩාගත් දරු දෙදෙනාගෙන් වැඩිමල් දරුවා මරු රැගෙන ගොස්‌ය. මවකට මෙවන් දුකක්‌ ඉහිලිය හැක්‌කේ කෙලෙසද?

නංගිව දීගෙක දී, පවුලම ගොඩ ගන්නට සිටි රජෙක්‌ වැනි පුතු මරු රැගෙන ගොස්‌ය. මරණය පෙනි පෙනීත්, වේදනාව දැනි දැනීත් සමීර කල්පනා කළේ මව ගැනය. නැගණිය පිළිබඳවය. හදිසි අනතුර පිළිබඳව අම්මාට දැන්ම කියන්න එපා යෑයි ඔහු කීවේ මවට දැන් නැතිවන්නට දෙයක්‌ ඉතිරිවී නැති බව දන්න නිසාය. සමීර පෙම්වතිය පිළිබඳ කිසිවක්‌ කියා නැත. නමුත් දෙපා අහිමි වූ බව දැනගත් පසු ඔහු විවාහයක්‌ පිළිබඳ පසුතැවෙන්නට විය. හිරිමල් යොවුන් වියේ උන් ඔහුට ඒ වේදනාවද දැනිණි.

දුම්රිය සාමාන්‍යාධිකාරී බී. ඒ. පී. ආරියරත්න මහතා නම් මාධ්‍යයට කියා තිබුණේ දුම්රිය නවත්වන්නට පෙර බැසීමට යැමේදී සමීර වැටී අනතුරට ලක්‌වූ බවයි. ඔහු එවැනි මතයක්‌ ප්‍රකාශ කරන්නේ දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව රැකගනු පිණිස මිස වෙනින් අරමුණකින් නොවන බව සිතමි. පාපුවරුවේ ඇණ හතරෙන් තුනක්‌ම ගැලවී තිබුණු බවත්, මහව දුම්රියපළේ දී පාපුවරුවේ ගැලවී තිබුණු ඇණ තුන දෙකට අඩුවන සේ තවත් ඇණයක්‌ සවිකළ බවත් දුම්රිය සාමාන්‍යාධිකාරිවරයා ප්‍රකාශ කර තිබිණි.

වැඩි වැටුප් ඉල්ලා වැඩ වර්ජනය කරන දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ වෘත්තීය සමිති පවා සමීරගේ මරණය ඉදිරියේ ගොළුවන් බවට පත්ව සිටිති. සමීර මළේ දුම්රියේ පාපුවරු කඩා වැටීමෙනි.

බහින තැන ළංවන විට දොරටුව ළඟට ඒම කවුරුත් කරන දෙයකි. සමීර කළෙත් ඒකය. එසේ නොකළේනම් සමීරට බහින්නට සිද්ධ වන්නේ ඊළඟ නැවතුමේය.

මේ මරණය හමුවේ හරිනම් දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ වගකියුතු නිලධාරීහු මියගිය තරුණයාට වරද නොපවටා සේවකයන්ගේ නොසැලකිල්ල පිළිබඳ සොයා බැලිය යුතුය. දියුණු ශිsෂ්ට රටවල නම් මෙවන් සිද්ධියක වගකීම බාරගෙන තනතුරු වලින් ඉල්ලා අස්‌වන නිලධාරීන් අප දැක ඇත.

ඒ වගේ දේවල් අපේ රට නිසි කලක නොවන නිසා ඒ දේවල් නොව මියගිය තරුණයා වෙනුවෙන් සාධාරණයක්‌ ඉටු කිරීම පමණක්‌ වටී.

කොහොමටත් මේ රටේ රාජ්‍ය ප්‍රවාහන පද්ධතියම ඒ පාපුවරුවේ ඇණ මෙන් බව මගී ජනතාව දනී. ඇණ හතරක්‌ තිබිය යුතු තැනට ඇණ දෙකක්‌ සවි කරන්නේ නාස්‌තිය හා දූෂණය අවම කර, රාජ්‍ය වියදම් අඩු කිරීමට වන්නට පුළුවන. මිනිස්‌ ජීවිතයකට වඩා ආයතනයේ වියදම් අඩු කිරීම වටිනවා වන්නටද පුළුවන.

සමීරගේ මරණයට දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව වගකිව යුතු නැතිද? අපට නම් සිතෙන්නේ පාපුවරුව හරි ලෙස සවිකර තිබුණේ නම් සමීර තවමත් ජීවතුන් අතර සිටින බවය.

දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට මේ අනතුර තවත් එක අනතුරක්‌ පමණක්‌ වුවද, සමීරගේ අම්මාට නම් මේ වෙච්ච පාඩුව මේ ආත්මයේදී නම් පුරාවාගත නොහැකිය.

වතුපිටිවල රෝහලේ වෛද්‍ය ශාන්ත කුමාර අමරසිංහ මහතාගේ මෙන්ම ඒ මොහොතේ සමීරගේ ජීවිතය කෙළෙස හෝ බේරා ගන්නට වලිකෑ, තරුණ වෛද්‍යවරියගේ නෙතට නැගුණු කඳුළැලි පවා කීවේ මේ ජවසම්පන්න හොඳ වැදගත් තරුණයාට වූ විපතේ තරමය. මොන තරම් මානසික ශක්‌තියක්‌ තිබුණත්... මාරයා ඉදිරියේ සමීරට සටන් කිරීමට නොහැකි වීම අපරාධයකි.

මවට අසීමිතව ආදරය කළ, මනසින් ශක්‌තිමත් මේ තරුණයා පණ පිටින් ඒ මව ළඟට යවන්නට වෛද්‍යවරු ගත් උත්සාහයද අපමණය.

සමීර මරණය දැක දැක මරණය හමුවේ නොසැලුණු දිරිය පුතෙකි. පණ අතේ තබාගෙන වතුපිටිවල රෝහලට ආ ඔහු අසාමාන්‍ය තරුණයෙකි. අකල්හි වියෝ නොවන්නට මොහු එකසිය විස්‌සට දෙසීය විස්‌සක්‌ ජීවත් වන්නට තරම් සුදුසු පුද්ගලයෙකි. සමීරගේ නාමයෙන් දැන්වත් රාජ්‍ය ප්‍රවාහනය බාර උදවිය, මිනිස්‌ ජීවිතයක්‌ ඇණ මුරුච්චිවලට වඩා වටිනා බව අවබෝධ කරගත යුතුය.

Exactly, It is a fact that SL general public do not consider about safety much.
98% of the population do not know what to do in case of a medical emergency.
When I was a kid, I remember watching ITN programs explaining basic first aids such as what to do in a
Electrification/Snake bite/Drowning situation. Unfortunately now those programs are not there.
During my university life about 5 engineering students died mainly by drowning.
Finally we received a course on on life saving in the 4th year.(too late)
Now they are delivering that course in the first year I think.

Basic first aid has to be teach as a school subject.
We are a poor county, we do not have paramedics on call.
But if we stop blaming on the government for every thing and
concentrate a little bit no awareness, it might help to save a life some day.

There is a person holding a position called "Operations Superintendent" at the Sri Lanka Railways. And, he is planning (or rather letting happen) similar things in the Coastal Line also, these days, with the "Samudra Devi" morning schedule, despite knowing that it gets overloaded far beyond its capacity, despite requests to amend the schedule, despite having power to alter the schedule. How sad!

How sad that humanity is not there in these humans....

And, he is planning (or rather letting happen) similar things in the Coastal Line also, these days, with the "Samudra Devi" morning schedule, despite knowing that it gets overloaded far beyond its capacity, despite requests to amend the schedule, despite having power to alter the schedule. How sad!

How sad that humanity is not there in these humans....

Don't blame the Authorities.

They tried to fix the problem. But it was the stupid passengers who forced the train to be on its way without the repairs being completed.
Its the same stupid passengers who just kept looking at the damaged body for f***ing HALF an HOUR, before the staff from the Railway took him to hospital.

This is the glorious Sri Lankan culture and value set.

See a couple kissing and how may ppl will interfere? See a human body broken in two on a rail way and how many tried to help?

@yes..it is a very sad story and only now i get to know about that foot board was broken and workers from Railway Department tried to fix before that ...and passengers were obstructing due to they are getting late... But what i cannot understand is if they really know before that..in the previous station.. why they could not block that platform..(put a notice/alert type...)

may be the railway staff didnt bother to put a notice becoz they where also from the same country as the passengers who didnt bother to do anything about the suffering youth for half and hour.

I know what I am saying is far fetched and we are stlll a developing country. But in the electric rail systems this would never happen as the doors if the train do not open until train is stopped completely. Maybe one day it will become a reality.

But still there are simple things authorities could do to prevent tragic event like this. They can always
a) reply and say human life is worth more and we need to fix this ( Even if the passengers of the train say we are getting late)
b) do maintenance check properly everynight
c) simply put a card board sign saying the step is broken ( like members said )
d) in the longer run atleast think of some mechanism to introduce doors that do not open/close until trains stops or start moving. At the rate trains are pack with no security this is bound to happen again . Not to mention people traveling on foot boards of buses. ( sooner ot later bus is going to run over them)

While we are at it what about the danger of not having proper railway gates . Also if people break rules to not care and cross even if gates are closed ( risking their own lives which is utter stupidity as they are in such a hurry which I never understand) , I think it is high time there should be severe penalties introduced for such people .

We should all play our part to make Sri Lanka go up the ladder in the development. Politicians and also people in higher to lower authorities need to lead by example.

Will it happend. Is it a pipe dream! ANyway lets do our part even ever we can for our countries sake.

Come to think of it we still have a long way to go. There 1001 thing to fix before we can be regarded a developed country.

Leaders are expected by people to "lead by example" (top down approach in business terms) has miserably failed in our part of the world. I think now the ordinary citizens of our country should show exemplary behaviour so that rest of the citizens including the authorities, politicians and leaders of our country can follow them (possibly "bottom up approach"). This can bring leaders who lead by example in future.

You got a point. If public is strong and united to stand up for the bad of these inefficient/corrupt leaders, they have no option but to correct themselves .( else these will not be able to survive). In developed countries also corruption and inefficiency is there but there are mechanisms of interest groups, media and pubich report and expose these misdoing and correct them. Public humiliation can come in many way ( we do not have to do bodily harm as in some countries. These are other ways) Sadly we are still far way from that as people are either angry or scared or both but rarely anythign happens.

I hope all those who are in power or capable of doing something GENUINELY GOOD ( not for publicity or personal gain) for the betterment of the society watching this,

it is not too late.

Good deeds always have a long term return. Short term bad will not last.

Let us join to make Sri Lanka a developed country . We do not have to be western or different skin coloured to be developed with a organized society. ( Yakuza are there in Japan but they have strict code of conduct atleast)
In this development process , I still respect Japan for protecting their culture and citizens as much as possible.

Let me point out some funny facts.

This guy was admitted to hospital at 3.30. So the accident might have taken place around 3PM, given they took half an hour to get him admitted.

This train was inbound to Colombo.
It was not a weekday. It was not the afternoon rush hour where tried workers hurried home with some titbits for their children.
It was 17th, a Saturday. Just 3PM.

In that context, how justified is the claim?

I don't know what you guys here in these statements - but i hear selfishness ( of who might suffer), irresponsible behavior, unwanted interference ( if authorities think it must be fixed, who are the passengers to argue about it?)....

This very same crowd would be like a herd of docile sheep, if the train was stopped for some politic fellow to take a nap on the crossing. When its the railway workers repairing a broken foot-board - wow how talkative and assertive this sheep becomes....

I am not sure if you guys will believe this, it is however a true story that happened to a close friend of mine. She was traveling in a bus - to Kandy, which was going break neck speeds, around 10PM.

After a few near misses and violent breaking incidents, a husband who was with his pregnant wife scolded the driver an "ordered" him to drive decently. The driver did not comply. This guy (probably in the forces or police) called ahead and the bus was stopped at Kegalle town by the police. The driver got a ticket.

There after the driver drow the bus at around 30Kmph. Ppl started scolding the husband and wife, saying they made the whole crowd get late. Some bad words were utterd, and soon the husband got in to a fight with the passengers.
Some of the passengers beat the husband, threw him out of the bus, got the pregnant wife out also, and left them around 10PM.
The driver drow fast again.

So is the nature of Sri lankans after 2500 of greatness.

Thats is very pitifull story.

Like i said we seriously have people with Attitude issues and low morals. Be it the big ones or a others.

We seriously need attitude adjustments .

I think either the workers or their in-charge should be held responsible for letting the train to continue with a defect.
I am also in different kind of transport business and I / we never allow anything to leave bases with a known defect until it is fixed properly & tested, irrespective of the extent of the repair time needed to fix and test it.
In the nutshell CGR has take the entire blame and responsibility.
Also this is not a time to show a few's understanding of Karma.

Some poeple see only that bad part of this story.We must not be so emotional.

If this type of accident happens in so called developed country no one might even pay much attention.But here look at the picture some one was giving some mental support to that dying person.You should have something more than courage to do such thing.

No one has hospitalized him for 1/2 an hour.I think that is not because people had no sympathy towards him.People might have thought there was no much point of being quick.Some might even be shocked that they could not think what to do.

Try to remember the situation after tsunami.No country would recover in such a fast after such a disaster.Do u think it is because our government ? Of course not.It is because our peoples attitude.They help with each other.(There were few unimaginably unhuman incidents there.But in overall I think we can be realy happy.) No one died because of hunger.All the people got shelter in one way or the other.Some people worked around the clock.It is also because of our peoples attitude.That is the true nature in our blood.

If u read the book of Robert Knox U will see the beauty of our nature.He has said that a pretty woman holding a precious stone in her hand could travel a long distance even at night in this country.It was also because of our peoples attitude.But all this good qualities of sinhala buddhist culture has being diminished from 1505.

Earlier our peoples aim was NIRVANA.U need to gradualy get rid of ur desires to achieve that goal.I think that is why our people had not made many discoveries like western people which would increase our greediness and endless desires.But the sametime we can not deny that they(our people) were expert in some sectors like irrigation,building constructions,medical sciences(not western but sinhala hela wedakama).Another fact to mention is our methods were environmentaly friendly.It did not destroy the nature like in most of the western methods.OK now one can say that I am talking about cart era .But look at them after removing these western glasses.U will see the beauty and reality.

Coming back to this incident, Our people pay very less attention for safety.That is the big question here.In this situation all have pay very less attention for safety.
