I have watched these days that the above share prices are coming down very fast.Anybody knows the reason for this ?

not sure of what you are saying.... BFL went to 180ish and now trading @ 150ish with recent ;ow not going below 130

There was a write up in the papers a few days ago which said that corn prices were going up and the price revisions are not enough to cover the increased costs.

As a long term strategy poultry leaders should produce the feed in the country not depending on imported stuff. Imported cost is increasing continuously with constant government taxes needed into its coffers.

Rising production cost is the root cause on the profitability of poultry sector. With lower interest rates in the future, there will be a reduction in finance cost which will offset the part of high production cost.

Chickecn is expensive in Sri lanka!

1kg price in Colombo-400/-
1kg price in Singapore( fresh chicken from Malaysia)-S$4.50 ($4.50x104=Rs468

Do not why companies do not make huge profit?
