What is the best advice for new investors. Do not waste your money in Colombo Stock Exchange which is literally a legal scam run by a stock market mafia and their henchmen i.e.brokers ! You will definitely loose money. Forget about beating the inflation you will be lucky if you still have at least 50% of the investment. If you need regular income buy a three wheeler so you can create a job too. Look no further for proof than this site where those henchmen actively promoting junk like GREG so they make a killing out of your money!

Only come into the Market If ur talking the additional risks. Do not be motivated by anyone who says dont enter. But u need to be smart enough to think because different people will tell u different. Some like, some hate. So Its all up to what u want at the end.

im partly agree.. stock market is a very high risk place in todays world context.,you can loose ur all hard earned money,hm,but im in it..
btw i do this..

*im selling even at a mere profit
*im selling if my stocks starts to fell over 5% loss points, you may found 100 people saying you to hold, never ever do that foolishness..
sell sell sell whether its a gem or crap.,preserve your capital

*i believe majority are wrong in market after last bull run,so im too much be aware when i hear people saying "bull run on the way"

*being negative is the way to win until real logical bull run comes,i mean sell whenever mkt up and be in cash

*be calm if there is nothing seems good to buy.

*quit if specific share dont move, keeping such shares are waste of time and money

*always keep your sell order in the order book, there is instead hikes sometimes.

*support the buyers by create a buyng pressure fakely and let them to buy your shares

*try to push down the price and create selling pressure when your selling at loss, then you may get a chance to buy back further low

list goes on

this is how capitalism works. One person's gain another's pain.when one is fearful another is greedy.Out of thousands of players 10% will win ,90% loose.this is the truth when it's come to money making game in capitalism.share market is another 100% own sub of capitalism.SO what we should do?????change the capitalism or try to move to the winning side of 10%.which one is more practical?

(Mafia, henchmen, brokers, promotions, junks are elements of our society that we come across even in our day today life and we know how to deal with them)

I have been in the market for over 15 years. My annualised return over this period has been about 20% per annum. Better than any FD.

So My advise is- be in it for the long term (at least 5 years). Don't be greedy. Stick to good companies.

But if you have the appetite for it- suburban land is a very much better investment.

THey say "Once trash is another one's gems". U come to stock market and u will realize so many ppl want to go after junk first.. This is cuz ppl want to show the CSE as a casino.. That's their perspective.

Well if u do your own buying/selling, mitigate your portfolio into Risk areas;
30%-Junk, 60%-fundamentally strong, 10%-good dividend stocks
short-term, med-term and long term shares. The periods must be decided by you as per your holding capacity.

The best advice is; dont trust your broker.. Many have fallen in their traps and still wait to recover their losses. Some may never be able to do it.
Ask questions if u deal with him, why a certain share is attractive? On the otherhand, if some one recommends a broker with a proven track records, u can still consult him, otherwise DONT. I found this site hav experienced members who can give black and white answers better than experience brokers.

If you gain 'tis urs and if you lose again its yours.. So be careful..

There's so much to say.. And u'll learn eventually..

Any one who was in market before 2009 had crazy gains as market up about 300%(considering that and interest rates of FD were like near 18% sometime back that seems really low gain btw) . I don't expect SL to have another one of those break trough economic periods for the positive side. Only way economy seems to be heading is down or to a halt. Market can jump like 2009-2011 again is if we go in to a huge slump because of of the appreciation shown by other countries towards the government and Sri Lanka get over it. Then who ever cash in the market now will first have to loose like 50% anyway. !

Right click on the desired symbol>graph>right click on the chart>mode>history>right click on the chart>send to chart.

Strategies>moving averages>follow instructions.
Strategies >relative strength>follow instructions.
Strategies >MACD>follow instructions.

Buying & Selling Signals appear automatically in all three charts.

Happy trading sunny
