Can anyone explain how margin trading will benefit to traders and how it will affect traders?
Is it advisable to go for margin trading.
I understand it varies from brokers to brokers.

Go for NDBS stockbrokers and use seylan bank for margin.(int rate is around 12.5 / peoples leasing int rate 13).
.
do not try to trade with risky shares coz you will end up loosing all your money.use your margin account to buy solid stocks and individual a/c to do trading with risky shares.

You can pledge your share & can by more shares against it .

It may be 50% or 70%. of the market value.

Can anybody tell what about Bartleet Religare? What will happen if I end up with loss trade?
Will 100% goes to broker?

Dear Sampath,
Let’s assume the broker firm is NDBS and margin provider is seylan bank and you have 1 Mn worth of shares at present in your individual account.. so NDBS will open a Slash a/c in the name of seylan bank/and your name(I.E Seylan bank /Mr.sampath.anuradha)then you have to transfer your existing shares in your individual account to the margin account. margin provider will give then you a limit of aprox 500 K as buying power .NDBS will use the buying power to buy stocks and seylan bank will settle the amount due to NDBS on the settlement date. When you sell stocks from the margin account, the funds will be settled to seylan bank too. Interest will be charges for the utilized amount.It is not necessary that you have to utilize the entire margin limit which is provided. Contact your broker firm and they will give you more details.
