it will nt effect to profit bt most of the trades will be panic .before the reduction there was a price reduction in lioc share because of the comming news....

I think its effect to existing quantity. that means its create some lost. I think that is the problem.

If price reduction is done through the reduction on tax on CIF value, there is no any impact on GP or NP. Rather it will lead to improve the WC requirements as less cash requirements for purchases (Due to less payment as tax on CIF value on import). On the other hand the reduce price will generate more demand and increase revenue.

Yes for existing inventory it is true as they have been purchased at old tax rate and selling at new price. But will reverse in case of a price increase in a subsequent quarter. But will have positive and negative impact based on the inventory level.

world oil price falling rapidly.. but in sri lanka oil price reduced little bit by mr..
