Market had much more steep falls while rajapaksha regime. Don't be too early to predict budget outcomes. We should remember there will be increased money flow in the businesses due to increased spending power.

Also avoiding of unncessary expenses will too affect in long term.

Let's be patience and give them a chance to prove what they promises.

This entire parliment is in a disarray.
Each party is pulling in different directions, saying different things, doing differently and understand things differently.

Just like if they are speaking different languages.

Govt did not understood why people voted for them.

Govt submitted a budget to get more votes for UNP do all bad things done by previous govt and make money

I hope people will understand and do the needful

I hope people will vote for UNP SLFP led national govt under Mythree and Ranil.

Real improvement of market can be expected after that

Spending power increased?? can someone substantiate this claim .

I spoke to some low income level people working at my office like janitors, drivers etc. who voted for MY3,
they are not happy now. I don't think there is any significant change in their lives due to the reduction of prices. one key issue is very high vegetable and rice prices , rice/vegetable ,coconut needed for all 3 meals. (I am not saying this govt is responsible for high prices)
If most frequently used food items are not cheap there is no saving when less frequently used things are cheap.
I don't see any minister in this govt doing or talking about it. Those days we took Jonny to the task and they tried various things. Home veg farms was such
initiative. Endless corruption allegations, investigation committees not a single crook booked so far.
I personally don't believe in a national govt, we need a stable govt and a strong opposition to have a progressive democratic system. any thoughts guys?

things will be floppy until the end of next parliment election.
This is a very interesting situation from the political point of view with the massive crowd at the nugegoda meeting.
But it is further makes the things unstable and unhealthy for the market time being.
Is it going to prove " too many cooks will spoil the soup ".
In a country like sri lanka majority of people like to be ruled or they want to feeling that somebody is ruling them. These days miss that feeling.
