it's over priced but you're not going to get this below IPO price anytime soon, or if at all.

So if you subscribe to the IPO you're fine. but you're not going to get anything substantial in the way of shares.

Because it's a celebrity share, it can generate buying interest much easily than other companies. Unless something drastic happens, this will hit market at 40 or above and maintain a price above 35.

That's how things work around here.

Can u give an example for such a celebrity share?

Yes this can happen, the same way as Singer Finance with a reputed brand name, started trading at PE 40-50; Softlogic,Asiri also have good brand images but if PP investors want to exit early things will be different. And also the huge share volume

I can't go along with it ! UBC & FLCH had changed my thinking about IPO business for the time being ! Right now some are trading below IPO price. Probably Softlogic will be different. Only God knows !

Everybody just stop worrying and invest in Softlogic. Yes the price seems overpriced when compared to the private placement value but do any of you think about the reasons behind the pricing? Let me tell you some reasons :

1) When the private placement was made, the country was still in the time of war.
2) following the private placement softlogic took control of Capital Reach, acquired 51% of asiri hospital holdings, Hotel Seysands.
3) There was a huge retail expansion from Uniwalkers.
4) Softlogic added many brands such as Nike, Levis,Giordano,Mango, Samsung etc.
5) Private placement was done almost 2 years ago. A lot has changed since then
and many more things had taken place that I cannot recall. All of these things took place after the private placement. So I personally think that it is totally a fair pricing which may also be quite undervalued according to the actual potential of the company. Trust me guys dont miss this IPO. I was waiting for ages for this and im happy to be investing in it.

Our thinking is based on past experience and prevailing conditions.
All gone wrong due to current situation.

First there were fundamental analysts. (including me)
Then Chart readers dominated.
Now all are seems to be marooned.

The current situation in SE is not due to credit crisis or any chart pattern.
The capable people who have enough money to make it up or down have not decided yet to drive it where they want.

The long term collectors are very happy to see their favorites shares going further down. If I have 1,000,000 FLCH averaging 4.50 , I am happy to collect further millions @ 3.50 or 3.00. because my target is selling it @ 10 or 20 after 2-3 or 5 years .
(3-4 million is a big amount for you and me but not a f..rt for some others in this land)
-----
BTW, I did not apply Soft (SHL) IPO @29/- but happily bought some @ 18/- today.
