Sorry. I think no need to explain , this topic is studied everywhere in Asia for decades.
Simply their targets , methods , requirements are different. Just see how India treat Nepal.

In lighter side, people were complaining about the number of Cheenas they saw in our country. How can you count Indians living everywhere mainly in North East ? No one can identify them without checking document.
At the moment how many Indian ladies come here , get Sri Lankan Identity & passport to go to work in Mid East ? (avoid Indian ban)
No one knows how many of them come back as Sri Lankans.
If we open flood gates ?
They can infiltrate everywhere. Cheenas cannot (unless the do severe plastic surgery)

I know why emir of Dubai flew Kerala in a private jet to attend his billionaire friends daughters wedding.

These 'Indians' need no agreements to visit Sri Lanka if they want. The truth is they rarely land here.
Our concern is about a completely different kind of influx.
If all the Sri Lankans went to hide in India nothing will change in that country. Thanks.
