CARS or BUKI. Which is going to be as "Value Share" in Long-term due to Recent Group Restructure Program.

Hi Friends

I am bit confused due to recent group restructure program, there are some companies were restructured based on their sector there are in ( CINV & WAPO comes under GUAR, LION comes under BREW and other 4 oil palm companies come under the umbrella of GHAL.). Finally CARS and BUKI are the top of the tree. CARS has some direct stake in BUKI and indirect stake through RITL ( Rubber Investment Trust Limited) ( I did not calculate the holdings) and BUKI has about 47% on CARS. This structure is called cross holding in accounting terms. When consolidating the financial statement cross holding impact will get adjusted. This my idea.

I just want to get ur inputs. Which is going to be as "Value share" in Long Term. As we all know if one perform well, that impact other one also.

But I like to hear from u all, If u have Rs.1Mn which share ( CARS or BUKI ) u will choose for the investment.

I am also studding their group structure before and after restructure, once i complete i will post here. In meantime expecting ur valuable input also.

Thanks in Advance.

I prefer to get some different views from our experts ( tubal, slstock, smallville,ShareShares,Rajitha,Mono, antonym) this does not mean that i restrict to these members. I like to hear everyone views, Pls share ur thoughts

There's NO big different in between these two companies. As Seyon mentioned these two are cross holdings.
But personally I think both are severely over priced companies. So both companies need to produce multiple times profits in coming years to justify the current market prices.

It is not RHTL, RITL is rubber investment… original plantation related investments.

RHTL is an attractive share in my portfolio …. Investors started collecting CARS first …..that was before BUKI, ...CARS touched 650 earlier, mainly foreign investors seem to be buying GUAR and Bukit Darah,.. moving up without depending on credit,,,,,.. foriengn funds stabilize share prices…...CARS is expanding in businesses, I prefer this share. ...Gains may be greater in BUKI, I can’t afford to make such large investments...

BUKI has a good history in wealth multiplication.. It has actually had made many early investors millionaires.. ppl who had bought just 100 when this was ard 800-900 few years back actually became millionaires it seems with just holding 100 shares Wink

Without any reasoning, CARS, BUKI can go up suddenly when some ppl want to introduce false rallies..So be careful with sudden up charges in CARS, the market is still weak and these sudden moves may trap u on a false rallies.

Buki and CARS are most overvalued companies. our market PER is high owing to these kind of over priced companies in diversified holding sector.

July entire market is upwards. …..Recent market depreciation was mainly due to range of stocks appreciated on credit, …shares not much dependent on credit remained stable and survived…... ...When the credit clearance is over they appreciate slowly like all other shares. ...stocks based on solid investments and corporate profits maintain momentum… ….present stabilization of CARS does not seem be based on credit. …Often there are no rallies as such prices appreciate medium term over several months depending on new funds coming to the market...
