I believe the market should pick up by end of this week or begining of next week. It should last till the 2nd week of march and we can expect another dip towards the end of next month.

Good time to buy, as most bullish stocks are at bargain prices santa

My picks are BFL,GRAN,TAFL,LGL and PCH. Some of these stocks have depreciated by 25-30%.

Some of these stocks will move from today, keep an eye

There're a lot of people who buy on credit (through margin trading now) who are praying the shares to go up. They're paying around 15-17% for their debts. That's like buying by credit card. This is how the CSE works. Driven by retail investers.
When the market goes down they call it the funny word 'profit taking'

I also believe the dull market would continue till the next week and might have a small pickup maybe next week! ATM some of the counters have gone up way more than how they have performed and they are dragging the rest of the shares with them.

I do believe there are some seriously undervalued plantation stocks even when you consider the sector low sector PE value. I'll try to post some analysis about these later. Just keep an eye on Rubber+ Palm oil plantations and preferably low grown tea plantations also!

I don't think buying at this stage is a good decision.Even though some sings of upward movement i personally don't expect significant improvement for another 2-3 week.(this is only my view base on my past experience). So i like to wait and see. No No

Are the other shares like diversified sector, banking sector safe to buy at this stage? Some of them have not moved up recently, however there are massive transactions going on.

Market is highly volatile.
But there are some potential stocks too. Better to be cautious at this particular time.
Always going by the fundemental analysis less riskier than going by the predictions and past trend.
This is my opinion.

I think the CSE is probably one of the best stock markets to operate in at the moment. Is it overvalued? MAYBE slightly overvalued, in my opinion, on an overall basis, when you look at the Market PE or even the PEG ratio. But there are some undervalued shares too that deserve a higher price than they are trading at currently.

The long term strength of the economy augurs well for buy-and-hold investors because, as THIRU indicated, fundamentally strong shares will appreciate anyway. Like the tortoise in the story, slow and steady wins the race.
The short term volatility is necessary for SMART speculators to make a quick buck.

But, if you aren't a buy-and hold investor or a smart speculator, things are likely to get hot in there. So, if you can't take the heat (occasional losses), stay out of the kitchen! You've been warned! Evil or Very Mad

I feel the best time to collect would be in 3rd week of March when credit clearance starts. There could be a substantial drop in the ASI & MPI with the heavy selling pressure which should last till the end of March.

This is my opinion.

Some shares have already gone up to the peak cannot expect more . I also thought of looking for shares with potential. blue chips have not gone up yet , some banks and hotels, large cap PLCs can go up slowly.
