Guys, I'm starting to trade online from next week. My broker(capital alliance) said i have to use their web based software. and i cannot use directFN. DO you experts think it is ok to go with their option, Or do i need to meet another broker.. If so, which broker firm allows us to use directFN...?

*web based is ok,bcoz you can log from anywhere without any application,but you may not get the stock charts in web based version...

*in DFN you get many tools than in web platform,but need to download the application

*DFN brokers-capital trust,Lanka securities

*capital trust provide both web based and DFN

If you need spend more time for share market , better to use direct FN, shift to other broker who is giving Direct FN . its a simple plan

I'm using DirectFN and my broker is Asia Securities. They provide the software without a minimum Portfolio requirement..

Could I know how to place advanced orders (when market is closed) on DFN?

Their HELP shows "ADVANCED" tab. But our versions do not show that.

And how to get Multiple Order Book permanently - without arranging it after every opening?

Few weeks ago I asked this question from DirectFn itself. What they replied to me was, although DirectFN TWS supports Advance orders, CSE still not support this. Because of this, DirectFN has disabled this feature for Sri Lanka clients. As soon as CSE support this, DirectFN will enable this feature for us.

But CDAX has this facility (Queu) and I use it with Acuity. Cannot accept their explanation about CSE.

I don't know about that. This is what I got.

Dear Mr xxxxxxxxxxxxx,

The advance order capability that you have inquired about is not supported by the current CSE Engine which is why the option has been disabled on the TWS. The TWS software already has the capability to place such orders and as a result as soon as the CSE upgrades their system we will enable that option. Thank you for your inquiry.
