what is the data format used by the DirectFN.
Is it CVS
Is there any way to get their data to use for Meta stock

Yes, there are data. But, how to get the cumulative data form it.

dump it in to sql server, and u can have stored procedures
or use the front end to download manually

Use the following in DFN:

1. Download > Export History

2. Here you'll have to add the symbols manually using 'Add Symbols'. Keep the 'Time Period' as 'Complete History' which is the default.

3. Once you have added all the symbols you are interested, select Export Type under Export Options as 'MetaStock TXT'

4. Then give any name using 'Export To' option and export the selected data.

You can import this data using MetaStock or AmiBroker

I have only placed day orders up to now in DFN. But I need to place a fixed order for a considerable period.Can some one pls explain the meaning of GTC, IOC, FOK & GTD and the way of putting orders using those options. Very Happy

· Day - A Day Order. The order automatically expires at the end of the trading day.

· IOC (Immediate Or Cancel) - An Immediate-Or-Cancel order is similar to the Fill-Or-Kill order but allows for a position to be partially filled upon execution and then cancel the unfilled portion.

· GTC (Good Till Cancel) - The order will be active till you cancel it. The maximum number of dates permitted by the exchange is 5.

· GTD (Good Till Date) - The order expires at the end of the specified date. The maximum number of dates permitted by the exchange is 5.

· FOK (Fill Or Kill) - A Fill-Or-Kill order is an options order that cancels if it is not filled entirely upon execution. This is specially used for large orders and requires immediate execution.

I have downloaded data, but those can not be opened form meta stock. it does not support to the file format .txt
what should I do?
