They have come up with excellent report. Shocked

Annualised EPS 5.80
Current PER = 52/5.8 --> 8.96

NVPS = 58.56
PBV is less than 1

They have announced 1/- dividend too.

The post tax profit for the quarter improved by 316% mainly due to a reversal of deferred tax resulting from reduction in income tax rate to 28% effective 2011.
They have lower revenue and earnings than 2009 of not for this! So without the taxx reversal earnings should be less than even Rs0.70 per quarter meaning something like Rs 3.75 earnings per share annualized so a PE ratio of about 13.86!

I am not a financial expert! Can some one explain me please, how come 24.88 mn Income tax expese is added to the profit. scratch (As my undestanding it should be deducted from PBT) Rolling Eyes

see the note no 3, upto this year there profits taxable at 35%, but from next year they will be tax at 28%. so the additional 7% deferred tax expenses recognized in the previous period was reversed as revenue.

In simple term deferred tax asset or liability arises mainly due to the timing differences in the taxations, which mainly arising from fixed assets, on provisions etc
