Its correction. It is the best time to invest slowly in small amounts at a time. Market will never be closed so be practical and positive.
Lanka is growing at 8% annually and companies are currently having 30-40% average growth. Market will have to adjust upwards in the near future to reflect the company earnings and country's growth.

Your saying is correct but who close the market until happening this? But they have to do something actually. There should be an end for this downtrend, panic sales, manipulation(sometimes good when it is available. Other times it is very bad. But last few weeks market was driven by manipulators. Otherwise cse may be the most boring financial place in Sri Lanka.) e.t.c. Stock market is a main sensitive factor in Sri Lankan economy. So, this should be protected to build a strong economy.

the thing is with the credit clearance and stuff and of course some bad situations, in the the last few weeks every ones spirits are down. Panic sellers keep on selling to get whatever they can get. The CSE may need some time to recover folks, so all I can say is, if you did your homework and invested in the proper shares, just be patient till all this nonsense come to a stop. I know it is hard to see your money's value going down the drain.

However, I see another option. Some may be selling, and re-purchasing while hoping to regain lost grounds. But that's probably a small percentage. I am thinking of buying some more shares coz the prices are down and just wait for a few months.

The time expectation is another issue. When we Red Red Wine every day, every one forgets the long term plans.
