I am a new comer to the stock trading. This is a great forum with super help. Exactly what new comers need. I have been told that when picking counters to look at the following ...Pl could someone let me know how to judge a company with the following. What range is good and what range is poor.. I have absolutely no idea. Your valuable help will be super!!!!

NAVPS
PBV
ROI without cap gain.

Is there any thing more I must look into as well in selecting counters.
What is swing trading, and could someone direct me to a link on the net to read up on it and learn about it.
