It seems EPF invested in highly overvalued share while there are plenty of undervalue shares in the market.

For six months period..............

Revenue is Rs. 4.4 Billion
Net profit is Rs. 403 Million
EPS = Rs. 1.04
NAPS = Rs. 15.17

Therefore annualized PER = 18.75 {39/(1.04*2)} as at 27.10.2011
Price to book ratio = 2.57 {39/15.17}

Since market PER is around 16 this is bit overvalued. However it is a pretty good share which has good future prospects. When market turns green I personally think this is one of those shares that will start moving up quickly.

Yes, Current P/E of LGL is 18 according to above annulaized figure, and EPF bought this at 48.

We saw Laughs holdings which is the mother company of LGL later bought some LGL from market below 40 rupees by showing the asshole to the EPF fund managers.
In a way investing strategy of both LGL and EPF are kind of same, as LGL bought 1 million of GRAN at 250.

By the way, They suppose to build a 4 star hotel in Chilaw according to the IPO prospectus. Does any one know whether it's started or the IPO money stucked in GRAN they bought at 250
