Dear Members,

I bought SMLL at 87.50 little time a go and its now in under 40's. For SMLL it name converted in to peoples finance now. Now peoples leasing as New IPO went off.

1. How can they convert the old shares to Peoples Finace and put a new one?
2. Why the price come down so long?
3. Any possibility to this SMLL turn back up?

My 60% of porfolio is on SMLL and am going to loose 3LKS for this, if not come up. Please experts help me to sort it out.

. PLC is a separate IPO, no effect to the SMLL shares so nothing gonna convert here. not only SMLL but most of shares in banking and financial sector got the same fate. just study DFCC, came down form 250 after share split and NTB came down from 80 after warrants conversion. SMLL is a good company so hold on to it dont sell with losses,if you can get averaged it.

Sorry about your unrealized loss.

SMLL is actually Seylan Merchant Leasing PLC (SMLL) which was taken over by Peoples Leasing Company at some point. So it is seperate entity now going as PEOPLE'S LEASING FINANCE PLC I believe.

PLC (IPO ) : People’s Leasing Company Limited (PLC) is the bigger one.

These two are distinct.

I suggest you wait for the SMLL quarter results and if they are good buy a few more SMLL ( at a good time) to average price. Then when there is a run you can dispose the ones bought cheap to gain profit and bring down overall cost.

Other options is to hold , but not sure whether it will go back to Rs 87 that soon.

Dont sell, try to hold them. I do have the same even purchased at higher amount than you. Try to average buy small qty @ 35-38 range. Its a very good company with best results.
