Hey, the stock market is having a clearance sale right now. If you’ve got some “fun money” and you’re willing to stay in for the long haul, then this isn’t a crisis. It’s an opportunity.

It is not for nothing they say " Problems are opportunities in disguise".

mama has always told you dont take mouthfulls at once.. take managable bites and take your time eating.. that assures you will only eat to satisfy appetite. No bloated stomache(or head)... No indigestion.

dont forget every share sold is bought by someone. so have no worries. the market is not going to die.sooner or later prices will go up... the companies may give higher dividends to compensate for lower capital gains. taking 5 years data the dividends and bonus shares alone is comparable or
bettter than putting money in bank.

DONT EXPECT THE MARKET TO GIVE YOU A REGULAR INCOME. ( THAT IS TRADING)

BE AN INFORMED INVESTOR. AT LEAST NOW. DONT GOSSIP... BECAUSE THE MARKET HAS ALREADY DISCOUNTED ALL THE NEWS. YOUR ONLY FRIEND IS KNOWLEDGE. PLAY THE GAME ACCORDING TO RULES OF INDICATORS AND FUNDAMENTALS.

READ THE BOOK " TECHNICAL ANALYSIS OF FINANCIAL MARKETS" -JOHN MURPHY.
LEARN HOW TO READ ANNUAL REPORT- AND UNDERSTAND THE MEANINGS.

( DIFFERANCE BETWEEN LISTENING TO A SONG VS UNDERSTANGING WHAT THE SONG SAYS")
HOW FEW REALY DOES THIS...

THE WONDER IS NOT WHY THE MARKET FALLING BUT WHY NOT MORE.
JUST LIKE MOST THINGS IN SRI LANKA... FOOLS AND IDIOTS HAVE ENTERED MARKET AND RUINED IT. NOW IS THE TIME TO LEARN SOMTHING OUT OF THE STUPIDITY. ALL THE TOOLS TO MAKE GOOD MARKET DESICIONS ARE FREELY AVAILABLE. NO NEED FOR GOSSIPING OR ASKING ONE ANOTHER WHAT TO DO NOW.

NO HARD FEELINGS ... SPECULATING FOOLS... JUST FEEL SORRY. I HAVE NO WORRIES THOUGH MY PORTFOLIO IS DOWN 20% BECASUE MY STOCKS ARE ROBUST.I AM SURE MOST BLUE CHIPS WILL OFFER A DY>15% NEXT YEAR.

IF YOU MUST SELL . SELL YOUR JUNK STARTING WITH HVA,BLUE,GREG ETC...

NOTE:

DO YOU REALIZE THE NATURES WAY OF DOING BUISNESS.

CAPACITY TO FORMING A COMPANY = PUBITY
FORMING A COMPANY = FINDING MATE
IPO = MATING /SEX after foreplay ( advertising the ipo)
MARKET OPENING = BIRTH OF CHILD. - have as much sex and children with as
much suitable mates as your libido(available funds) permits.
more children means diversified portfolio.
child is totally dependant on you for a long time. cannot
expect child to feed you or give you money.
collecting while DCAveraging = cost of parenting -feeding and educating children..when a
child is sick do we sell the child or throw it away ?
usualy good mothers know how to look after a child even
during sickness.spend a little money for good medicine.
while the child grows up the expences peak and gradualy
fall.
time for returns (devidends) = child get employment and gives you allowance periodicaly.
All well brought up children do.

Capital growth and you are high net worth = Child is a proffesional with high salary giving you
pride and regular allowances (dividends)

child gets married and have children = rights issues / share splits.

look after the grand children = the cycle continues with the grand children also increasing your net worth and they will also give you an allownace ( dividend ) periodically. REMEMBER YOU DID NOT PAY FOR YOUR GRAND CHILDRENS EDUCATION OR UPBRINGING , YOU ONLY HAVE TO BABY SIT AND LOVE THEM. WHEN THEY GROW UP THEY WILL BE GIVE YOU MORE ALLOWANCES AND BENIFITS THAN YOUR OWN CHILDREN.

YOU ARE RETIRED = YOU HAVE LOT OF LOVING CHILDREN AND GRAND
CHILDREN TO LOOK AFTER YOU

this is the principles of investing...... almost every thing you do in a life ... apply the same fortitude to the investing syle.... you will not go wrong.

now gorgeous girls are plenty and most willing....... if the girl you like is still playing hard to get... ignore for a few days and even tease a little(put buy order and cancell off line).... very soon she will be kneeling before you begging to be taken.

Go for it man.

Thanks for information....if so. Clearance may go on for some time....my losses are further increasing ...difficult to average due to strict balancing requirements... too early to think of anything ...just observing....may be in Jan/ Feb…. that also depends on the observations…helpless and waiting for a recovery...

We are all in the same boat Amiable. Some times it is painful to keep watching our long term holdings go down and down day by day and not being able to average all the time. . One solution is a not look at the market constantly until a recovery uptrend. But I know for people like us who are constantly involved that too is a difficult task.

Just take relief that one day you will be a victor. When one of shares went to Rs 50 bought at RS 140 it was painful to me. But then when it ran to Rs 500 nobody worried about whether I bought for Rs 50 or RS 140 as both costs will be equally great compared to price of Rs 500.
