Sri Lanka has revised an index of liquid stocks adding seven new companies including four financial sector firms while a Dialog Axiata, a large cap stock was dropped.
The Colombo Stock Exchange added Central Finance, DFCC Bank, Union Bank, Lanka Orix Leasing Company, Free Lanka Capital, Colombo Land and Vallibel One to the Milanka Index of liquid stocks for the first half of 2012.
Dialog Axiata, Hemas Holdings, Janashakthi Insurance, John Keells Hotels, Merchant Bank of Sri Lanka, Nawaloka Hospitals and Pan Asia Banking Corporation were dropped.
Other firms in the index are Commercial Bank, HNB, LB Finance, NTB, Sampath Bank, Aitken Spence, John Keells Holdings, Richard Pieris, Softlogic Holdings, Ceylon Grain Elevators, Piramal Glass, Royal Ceramics, Laugfs Gas, Lanka Hospitals, Browns and Environmental Resource Holdings.http://www.lbr.lk/fullstory.php?nid=201112201454134765
