It's given at last. It's a better rate than the last amendment of 1 times of liquid capital.

Additional capacity will be increased by 5-8.5 b according to SEC. When you add the existing 2.5 b extra capacity held by brokers without releasing, total credit available will be increased to 7.5-11b. A fairly good amount, if used properly to stabilize the market. When I say there is existing extra capacity of 2.5 b, unutilized, one may ask then why we need more? Brokers who had liquid assets didn’t release this as, brokers who didn't had liquid capital (ie: A***) tried to load their portfolios to the clients of brokers who had liquidity. Now I think it’s more reasonable to all brokers.

One thing is clear now; government really wants to stabilize the market. A clear signal.

This time it s much better guys,
If i can reacall correct last revision was to provide 1 time credit on liquide assets.
This time the credit will be on Net assets, much better

SEC further relaxes Stock Broker credit extension

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) further relaxed Stock Broker credit extension by permitting Stock Brokers to leverage three times the adjusted Net Capital, the SEC stated.

Additional credit available will increase by Rs.5 billion to a Rs.8.7 billion due to credit relaxation, the SEC Media Spokesman stated.

It would be great if someone could explain how it really works.

e.g if my portfolio is hundred thousand does it mean I can trade to the value of three hundred thousand, please shed some light.

Each broker will be permitted to lend upto 3 times of his 'Net Capital less 50% of Fixed Assets'.

Brokers will probably allocate a large chunk of this to their larger customers. You will need to negotiate with your broker for a credit limit and payment terms.
